FTB Server - Installing Guide

Octo, we will update when an update exists. So far, there is none known of. Instead, I have manually updated a lot of mods.

The dropbox link now holds my entire monster folder. All you need to install is dl the default one, then delete your mods folder and copy mine over it all.

Once again, FTB has updated. Check the original post for instructions.

so the ftb setup we had is not good enough anymore?

You mean your client? Then no. Mods have changed. You should only need to grab and replace your mod and config folder I think. So follow those last steps.

Also, I’m still uploading to the server. Not sure how long til I can start it. …or if Sip did something to the jars.

Edit:
Starting FTB up now. I need sleep… so, hope it stays up. Don’t explore too fast now!

I moved everyone to the front of the mansion. 2 other bases were saved to the west. Jedi’s and Nate’s.

For some strange reason it didn’t take three years while GregTech examined every block known to man…

EDIT: Uno Mundo Problemo: Seems like the identifiers for the portals weren’t saved, either that or they’re broken.

EDIT 2: The only way to make AE Quartz dust is via the manual macerator >:(

EDIT 3: Had a small accident. Kyle: If there’s anything missing from your room and it’s not in the ME, PM me and I’ll replace it. Don’t wire up an e-furnace to high voltage people…

Oh Octo, you should realize that the portals are gone because there are none anymore. This is a new map and the only surviving one is the mansion’s. We may need to reset its power supply, but that about it.

Room was fine.

Also, I know the Status for FTB at the top says OFFLINE, but it is up and running. Not sure why it stopped linking.

I need to figure out how Sip set the auto restart…

I had to remove the crontab because it would start itself automatically no matter what…

It seems I forgot a few mods in my original release. Damage indicators, armor HUD and so on. These are client side mods, so they were not required.

I added 2 files as fixes to my dropbox. One is for changes I made to a config folder, the other are the missing mods. Anyone who is starting fresh will not need those as they are now in the original 2 files.

Nice! great work kyle, your tinkering skills show no bounds with the mod pack or on the server XD

I followed the instructions twice, and even had Natepot email me the files for monster, but it still doesn’t work. I get the following message when I try to connect to the server: “The following multiparts are not installed on this client: pr_rfire” Help?

You should not have needed any files from anyone. The default DL should have had everything. It is possible MC is looking in the wrong folder for your mods. the .minecraft one maybe? My folder is on my desktop. Maybe try putting it there?

pr_rtfire is from ProjectRed. If FTB was looking in the wrong folder it would have a huge list of them. Try deleting:

[ul][li]ProjectRedBase[/li]
[li]ProjectRedCompat[/li]
[li]ProjectRedIntegration[/li]
[li]ProjectRedLighting[/li]
[li]ProjectRedMechanical[/li]
[li]ProjectRedWorld[/li][/ul]
and re-addding them from the mods.zip folder. It might just be a glitch, or you might have forgotten to copy one over.

People who have had that issue thus far have had it cause they did not follow directions. Some have tried to copy over and replace files from the mods folder, others have ignored it altogether. You have to delete the default folders, then place mine in its place. This removes ANY possibility of conflicts with the server.

Major Update to the client and server once more! Check the first post here for new files. Instructions are getting easier, eh?

Added a Tips post below the first post. Feel free to add to it!

MINOR Update to the server. See main post for the 4 files to add in. Delete 1 thing, replace another.

Another update! Yay?

Anyway, it’s the same mod as before, just an update. I uploaded the mod and it’s config instead of altering the HUGE zip.

Place the mod in the mods folder and erase the old AM2_1.2.0.0xx mod. Then replace the config file.

THESE:
Monster/Minecraft/Mods/AM2_1.2.0.021.jar <-New file
Monster/Minecraft/Configs/AM2/AM2.cfg <-Replace

See previous post. AM2 had another update. Same thing, new files.

Is there a ProjectRed update yet? If not, we could go back to the version on the Direwolf20 pack, that appears to be stable.

I did my research on that pack. There is not a new version for 1.6. They have been making new ones for 1.7. Thus, we can’t use the new ones.

I did find that we are on an experimental build, so going back a version is not a terrible idea. Thing is, are we even having trouble anymore?

Direwolf20 Uses 4.2.2, but 4.3.5 is stable (I’ve tested both)
