You have no idea how happy I am right now.
Not sure if this is still the case, but portals can be very laggy. For those of you who don’t know, it’s best to dig a 3 deep hole underneath your portal so you don’t suffocate in the event of lag.

I found a really good deal on a server, I am moving the FTB server to a new IP later today, so there will be about a 2 hour downtime as I get everything prepared

Not that ive found, its all been running quite well :D. I belive the previous downtime was due to the server trying to load a hell of a lot of new chunks in a place called the deep dark. 3 of us were exploring it and it crashed twice.

Major updates made. 26 or so mods updated manually. I sure hope this kind of update does not break the world. Most are just minor fixes, so it should not be so bad.
Note: We are adding in several mods that were disabled before. Seems Gregtech CAN play nice.
oddly it wont work for me :-\ I followed the steps and I don’t know why it wont work. I can get into a world but not the server and I did the mod changes along with the 2 other mods from scratch. please help! is anyone else getting this? :’(
Can you give us a screenshot of the error?
did you put in the new IP adress?
[s]The server will be unreachable for most of the day till all the April fools jokes are gone, seems its all the ftb servers that are affected with this issue of end of streaming due to some conflicting jokes.

jefi, check the install guide again. There are far more than just 2 mods needed to be added. I made a lot of changes.
Any idea when we’re updating to 1.1.1?
EDIT: Just coming on, it might be worth creating a custom pack on the Technic launcher, what with the sheer amounts of updates and config changes. That way if and when we added mods, it would automatically update. You can create a private pack, so only people with the modpack URL can use it.
