Hey everyone I know I haven’t been on that much lately and I am very sorry for that.(Thanks school) But any way I have to do a school project which is related to the new iPhone 7. (I know sounds dumb but… it’s true.) I just need to know whether or not you guys would want to buy it or not. You could also comment down below what you think of it. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could vote. Thanks! =D
The lack of a headphone jack turned me off from wanting one. Apple’s just trying to find ways to milk money out of people. If I ever need to get a new phone, I will buy and Android, unless Apple returns the headphone jack.
Exactly what I was gonna say
I think most people are put off by the lack of a headphone jack, but the most important reason why I’m not getting one and why I’m stuck with an iPhone 3gs :’( is because they cost way too much. If they were a reasonable price, I might have an iPhone 6, but, unfortunately, they aren’t. If I did have enough money for one of the latest iPhones, I would probably get a 6 or 6s.
Wohoo!! 100th post!!!
Even if they did have the jack, I still wouldn’t buy it. I’m broke af and also love Android.
Apple sucks at making phones . iphone 7 is pretty much the same as the old design (iphone 6) ,i would definitely go for the galaxy S7 or Note 7 .its like the two best phones in the planet
Are you mind reader? as you just read my mind word for word 0.0
don’t go for the Note 7, they apparently explode. So unless someone’s planning on making a bomb with a phone I wouldn’t recommend buying it
Just as Ferf, Hywel and Silver said, I would love an iPhone 7… if it had a headphone jack…
The Iphone 7 is terrible. I see no new additions to this phone that would make it seem better than it’s predecessor, other than it being “waterproof” (I can’t believe a device can be waterproof, as there can be circumstances where the water may leak inside the Iphone, and make the phone non-functional). I will continue to use an Ipod Touch until it is no longer supported, by Apple, in which I will get another phone, from another manufacturer.
It’s been marketed as water-resistant, rather than waterproof.
I didn’t give a good look at that feature for the Iphone 7. I have always taken any device that has said anything with water in the advertisement as waterproof. Thank you, MrFerf, for notifying me.
Eventually the audio jack would have been replaced, but there are a couple of things apple could have included that would have eased the mass outrage.
- Wireless charging: the watch already has it, and then you would be able to charge and listen with wired headphones at the same time
- USB-C: There is no advantage to lightning over USB-C. None. They’re both omnidirectional, can both carry the same voltages and would work identically. It’s understandable that apple wouldn’t want to use microUSB or whatever as they’re shit and clunky.
Honestly I just want apple to stop making phones thinner and thinner and thinner. For me, the thickness of the 5S is fine. Just make them better!
For me, the last iPhone I would ever buy would be the 5S or the SE. I don’t understand why someone would need a phone as big as the 6 or 7, it’s the size of a piece of toast lol. Apple is milking customers dry with their “all-new” features. Removing the headphone jack was an idiotic move and I can tell that Apple did not mean good by removing it and they are getting more greedy year by year. I think it’s time that everyone should switch to Android and by a better phone like the OnePlus One or Two.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (upgraded right from S4), so yeah no. iHate iPhones: they don’t have a back or menu button next to the home button, they don’t let you slide your finger to type (amazing feature, usually spot-on if you swipe accurately), it’s way easier to get emulators on androids, and I just don’t like apple in general. The only problem I ever had with my phone was a poor battery life, but it seems that it lasts longer the more than you use it, oddly enough. Now with my lightning cable, it charges insanely quick, as well. (A standardized charger that works with most non-apple devices, including XBone controllers.) As mentioned above, the new iPhone has no headphone jack. I often listen to podcasts and music on my phone, especially between classes now that I’ve started college, and I much prefer corded headphones to bluetooth, they’re easier to use and more reliable. All in all, no chance I’m ever switching back to iPhones. Going from an iPhone 4g to a Galaxy s4 was an amazing upgrade.
The lack of a headphone jack on the phone itself and the fact that they put it on the charger turns me away from it. It’s also very expensive and though I’m not so sure, it probably still has some problems that the iPhone 6 had. I’ll stick with my iPhone 5 (which can actually withstand more damage than I initially thought).
Literally the only reason I am hearing for no is “No headphone jack”. Fair enough if your an audiophile, but for most people it isn’t an issue.
Thank you all so much for your voting and comments so far. This will really helped me to get other opinions on it since I can’t have an opinion in the artical and have to get other people’s opinions. (We have to wright a newes paper style essay) I really appreciate it and thanks again! =)

Sorry but this just isn’t true. The whole point of an iPhone (going back to when they announced the 1st one) is that it was an iPod and a phone and a mini computer. Removing the headphone jack essentially removes one functionality from the phone. I know they have their adaptor, but that’s just one more cable I have to worry about keeping with me and not losing. This combined with the fact that you can’t use your headphones and charge your phone at the same time just pisses me off. Can’t say I listen and charge together too often, but it’s a restriction that just doesn’t need to be in place. It’s an issue of convenience, and convenience is literally the whole point of a smartphone.
Besides, it’s not like there isn’t room for the headphone jack. It’s the same thickness as the 6 and 6s which fit them in just fine. The whole thing is a ploy for apple to sell their shitty overpriced wireless ear pods.
