Aside from the lack of a headphone jack, I prefer to OWN my phone from day one, and with a $650 price tag for a basic model, that’s more than i’m willing to pay. That much money could buy you a decent laptop. and keep in mind that the average expected lifespan for most phones is 6-18 months.
Furthermore, most previous apple devices in the last 10 years have been well known for being difficult or impossible to fix if they become damaged. this means a higher repair cost if i don;t take it to apple, and if I do take it to them, they normally just give you a refurbished device with NONE of your data on it.
and finally, I’ve become used to my windows phone, which is tough, reliable, and only cost $99 two years ago. additionally, if I do change phones, All I have to do is sign in, and most of my data is synced automatically. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but i do like it more than any Iphone i’ve ever used. plus, it doesn’t bug me to update IOS every time I touch it.
You spent over $1000 dollars on it. When a phone costs more than a laptop, I have a problem.
You might as wel just buy a good pc/laptop for that price and pick a cheaper phone which can do almost the same shit. It’s just the logo ur paying for, not the quality.
My response would be a NO.
1 I never liked apple related stuff
2 I just think it is one of those phones that look cool but works shitty. (Not an expert of iphones)
…What are you on? I see people listening to music all the damn time. Plenty of people have headphones on or earbuds in whilst walking to places, exercising, doing chores, just because they want to, etc. I can’t fathom how you could honestly believe that so few enough people use headphone jacks to warrant getting rid of them.
Because you can still use headphones? You just can’t charge and listen at the same time. I honestly don’t see the problem.
I do own my phone, thats why it was $1229.00, not $0 with monthly repayments for 2 years.
The expected lifespan of a phone is not 6-18 months lmao, are you joking? Maybe if you aren’t careful and drop your shit all the time. I still have an iPhone 4 and a galaxy S2 that work fine.
I don’t have to worry about them being difficult to repair, because apple will repair it, because it has warranty.
Fair enough if you only want to spend $99 on a phone.
I log into iCloud on a new iPhone and its back exactly how my old phone was, so that isn’t even a point of difference.
I spent over $1000, because thats how much phones cost here… All flagships are $1000 or more here, so its not exactly extravagant.
Why does everyone hate the iPhone so much on here OML.
I have an iPhone 3gs that works fine. It can’t update it anymore, so it’s stuck on iOS 6.1.6, and it is a bit annoying when I want to download an app and it turns out that nearly every app now needs iOS 7 or 8. >:(
I think my uncle got it when it was first released, then he gave it to my dad when he upgraded to the 4 and then my dad gave it to me when my uncle upgraded to the 5 and gave my dad the 4. That would make it about 7 years old now and it works perfectly.
I just don’t need an iPhone 7. I have a Moto G (believe it or not Motorola phones are amazing once again) and it has been working well for 2 years. I don’t expect to upgrade from an Android system to an Apple system due to lack necessity and money… that I want to spend on a new phone.
Also, I can believe that this is a school project, more so than my college presentation on “How-To-Play Hearthstone”.
