Microsoft Corp. today announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Mojang, the celebrated Stockholm-based game developer, and the company’s iconic “Minecraft” franchise.
I don’t know how I feel about this. This offically means that Minecraft is NOT an indie game. I am curious to see what the future holds with Microsoft now owning Mojang. I guess only time can tell.
That was the old rare. The glory days. Now rare are mere shadows, no longer are they fine cuts of steak, but they have went through the stomach and are now crap. Kinect games man, kinect games.
I could see them moving to a Xbox Live-esque monthly online payment system. Which would suck. But the monetization of something like that would be huge for Microsoft and their stockholders
It’s just an idea. I hope/could be completely wrong.
