GOT MY PERMIT!!! :P

I recently went to the DPS to get my permit. About 4 trips later, I was able to take my test. First trip, they were out to lunch. Second trip I needed to get a proper birth certificate. The third trip, I wasn’t registered in the system. :stuck_out_tongue: So we had to go and get the check for the packet we ordered to prove that I bought it. Then the forth time I finally had everything that I needed. Now that I passed with an 86, I just gotta wait 6 months to be able to drive by myself LEGALLY. :stuck_out_tongue: Ima see if I can get away with driving around by myself for a new job I plan on getting. Hope I can keep from getting caught for 6 months.

Nice  I’m currently doing driving lessons, so hopefully will be able to drive soon

As it turns out, the GIANT packet that I thought I had to finish before taking the permit test, I only really just needed to look over the first couple pages. So that means I did over 90 pages of the SUPER BORING packet when I only really just needed to look over the first few pages. XD If I woulda known what I was doing, I would already be done with everything and probably have a valid license. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m glad I at least have my permit now. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sucks to you. I can drive and have a car. As for Liam, your older than me so I laugh at the Welsh laws!

My car is a bus. uMadbro?

Congrats myth  nothing like getting’ a permit ;D and lol I feel bad for you on that huge packet you had to fill out xD but good luck trying to get away with driving :stuck_out_tongue:

Wait… You get your license 6 months after you get your permit?? In Illinois you gotta hold your permit for 9 months… Lucky you :3

Also, just saying if you DO get caught while driving without a parent you will suffer a serious consequence. I think the penalty is you wont be able to get your license for another year. If you do it again itll be 2 years. Caught a third time, you cant get your license until the age of 21.

Hmmm. I have actually been driving without the permit for a few months since I thought I had what I needed to drive. Plus I don’t plan on doing to much driving that I don’t have to do. If I can get my other art design job back up, I could work from home. So that would be great. :stuck_out_tongue: Plus, since ima be having to get car insurance for my new car, my savings won’t last very long. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol after getting car insurance, you’ll think having spare money is just a myth. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol, so true. That deserves a +1.

Yaaaaaaaay! It’s about time someone commended me on my epic posts

Nice! I’m planning to get my permit soon as well.

cool, hope it works out well.

However, when I get my licence I can drive fully on my own straight away :stuck_out_tongue: also of people over here drove at a younger age, the death count would be much higher. Especially since in the UK our roads are more twisty. Plus country lanes. xD

Not to mention thinner lanes. We have really wide roads in the US for the most part, which helps to make it easier. I mean cars can basically fit in our bike lanes, of course depending on the car, but most can.

Unless you own a Hummer. :stuck_out_tongue: I actually live down a country lane, which gets fairly busy because people come off the motor way nearby and cut through it.

My new car I’m getting would definitely fit in a bike lane. I look so funny fitting into my car. It’s just so small and low to the ground. I’m lucky it has a sun roof, cuz pretty soon ima be driving with my head sticking out if it. XD It’s a quick way to get the wind blown look I guess. :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL i wish i could see that xD BTW what kind of car is it?

It’s a Volvo

Sip, you call our laws stupid. I would like to bring to the argument your alcohol laws. No alcohol at all until you are 21. Not even at home. This just means when people can drink legally they go crazy and kill themselves.

Then UK alcohol laws…
At home with parental consent from the age of 2.
In a pub/restaurant with a meal from the age of 14/15.
Generally at 18.
The build up stops people going mental at 18 and killing themselves. You get to know your limits early.
