What ya think is the golden age of pcb?

I think it right around I joined! the server felt a little small and more friendly!

Personally PCB has always had its golden age, although there were and are some discrepancies PCB’s golden age is always happening  (my say)

The 1.4 survival map was certainly the golden age of survival in our server. It was so very active, the market was bustling, and many towns sprouted up and prospered. As for the server in general, I do not know.

Late 2012 / Early-Mid 2013 was definitely a pretty good time.

I didnt experience the paleozoic era of PCB like those geezers did, so I cant speak that far back. However, Summer of 2015 to early 2016 was my favorite. In that time, I made many friends and did many things that have impacted my life greatly. (Shoutout to Maddy)

I don´t thing PCB had a golden age. Ok, I stayed in PCB for about 1 year and a half (little time) and I think PCB was and is a fantastic server! Extreamily friendly, respectable and many other things…

Hard to say for Survival w/me BUT the most iconic map to me for PCB is one I always like to mention. Our very first Creative map! Back when I was noob, Creative was this “new” thing and like it was great because it let me build to my full potential. I had been waiting so eagerly for Creative to be introduced back when MC was just Beta because it made me miss classic at times.

Moving on, a lot of cities were connected with Fili highways. Although there was a lot less block/materials to work with at the time it was still loads of fun to make additions to. I made my first PCB city on that map and it was called Corravista. Only the oldies might remember, but it was a very noob-like town and we ended up making it very urban once I got better at building. We populated it so there were other districts such as Riverside and Dragonville (a noob-like territory that was urbanized later on). The highways werent as large as you come by on the current map, however we had very intricate interchanges and the highways pretty much went all over the most populated corner of the map where everyone wanted to have a city. I tried my hands at making a Six flags, but tbh I always hated myself for it because it was so flat and empty-feeling to me. I will never forget this map because it’s where I essentially started to feel like PCB is my home server.

Next to that would be the survival maps that were live when the creative map was live. There was an older version with Forsyth and a bunch of other cool-bustling survival cities. Back then you could actually make $ just from killing mobs (GASP), after that map rolled over to the next one. Jungle had just been introduced so Shad and I developed a jungle-like city and I dont even remember what we called it, but I made a lot of treehouse-like homes for others (for free, I didnt charge back then) and we had a lot of people contribute to making it a nice homely area where everyone could contribute. Nearby the jungle Fili had started a survival town (GASP, WHEEZ, CHOKE) that I don’t think he ever really finished, but he had a soup kitchen and literally he would pay me to sit in the kitchen and sell soup to players. It was so much fun, ahhhh the good ol’ times, nothing can defeat them <3

Spring/Summer 2010 for me, on our 1st and 2nd Survival maps.

Good old classic for me, back when maps were limited, pretty much everyone had W/E, and monsters were blocks that lagged towards you, hungry to reset you back to spawn.

The second survival map for survival (no idea when)
Creative hasn’t really changed but I had most fun in 2012?
Perhaps a golden age is yet to come.

preach. Or perhaps we’re in it dramatic music

For me, it’s Fall/Winter of 2014/15. @TractorCam and I were at full rivalry with our subways and Acra City was the largest city in the world! I, too, met most of my friends during that time.

To me it was 2013-14 haha!

I’d say the same. My favorite being our first survival map, Sandy Beach was it? It was extremely simplistic but that’s what I liked most about it. Because of that simplicity it wasn’t overly complicated to new Minecraft players and we allowed them to build anywhere as long as it wasn’t too close to anyone else. Nowadays all of our spawns are in buildings with signs everywhere telling them everything they need to know. It’s convenient which makes our job easier but I suppose I kinda miss the fresh feeling of multiple new players being filled with awe and wonder at the world and other new players working together to both learn the game and have fun.

From the perceptive of a young 'un? Well, I’d say that the golden age of PCB certainly lines up with the prime of Minecraft- around 2011-2013, perhaps? However, I’d say that the “golden age” certainly re-happens every year, especially during summer vacation in the US, and the year-end.

for me it’s kinda obvious i guess, Steampunk<-----Lago----->Vos

Ah, Acrassity.

sounds fancy

2012 when PCB was a small member server - everyone knew everyone type server - you came on by word of mouth mostly.

That was my first year and all the people on here were extremely friendly.

There are many surviving players, now staff, from those days still on here that is the longevity of PCB so it must be the best.

Have seen many players come and go over the years but for me it was then as a noob and progressing through the ranks.

When survival was just survival and was fun to play and not creative with survival aspects (Why is /fly a thing, I think it needs to go back to basics to be more active)…

When me, PrinceMark, wooly19, and ka_52 had a tri-city region with me simply in charge of the transportation networks.
