I’ve had two occurrences today where I’ve died and got back to my die sight almost immediately got back to my stuff and it hasn’t dropped on the ground for me to pick up. The items I can remember that I lost were;
Iron sword with Bane of Anthropods I,
Iron Sword,
Iron Pickaxe,
Iron shovel,
20 or so coal,
1 gold ore,
Diamond Sword,
Diamond Pickaxe,
11 blocks of obsidian,
11 yellow wool,
I lost lots more but I can’t remember what they were, and they weren’t that valuable from memory.
You are a donator. You have to set up a death chest otherwise your items might vanish into thin air. Type in /help to look up all the commands you have.
Not a bug Sky. You should not have a death chest, so it won’t affect you, but those who do need to set up a death chest. All it takes is placing a sign above a chest of yours (empty or not) saying [Deathchest]. That should be right.
If you can give it back to me that wlod be great!!!
Here’s the important stuff:
Full diamond armour exscept the helmet (protection III)
Bow with infiniti I and power II
2 iron picks and a diamond pick
2 stacks of torches
Rather silly that donators lose there stuff when they die if they don’t have a chest. You really should have something noticeable somewhere to warn people. Also help doesn’t show you how to set up a death chest from what I could see, I had to get another donator to show me how.
Noted. If we don’t already have a /help for it, then we will add a way to make donator commands more easily acknowledgeable. Like ‘/help donator’ or something along those lines.
Cute link Liam, but yes, I think that would be something easily implemented. Custom help commands in game seem more complicated somehow. I know how to do one in classic to some extent, but not full servers.
We can just add in the specific information on how to set up a death chest on the donation page.
But regardless, we do not, and Will not reimburse items lost through player death. I’m sorry but we have strict rules on item reimbursements. We can’t take anyone’s word for what they’ve lost as they could easily make up items and enchantments they ‘lost’.
Reimbursements are more likely to happen when someone has proof of what items they lost and if it happened during a glitch or fault of staff.
Well, you’ll trust every single item someone claims to have when they lose them in a glitch? Maybe I’m just too harsh but unless I get proof that they had the exact items with enchantments, I don’t believe it. This form of “I lost my items, please give them back to me?” is way too easy to exploit with whatever current methods our staff are using to reimburse. Anyone can do it to get free items out of us.
If we had a screenshot I’d be more inclined to believe. Or even some plugin that shows what a player had when they died.
I agree, the point I was making was items should be reimbursed during this situation, ideally. However proof would be nice. Perhaps that can be a clause that’s added somewhere in /help or on the forums. I’m unsure how they would screenshot stuff after they died and lost it though.
If you made all these items between the last world save and the crash it may be that all the materials used to make them are still in your chests, or maybe not even mined yet.
