Normally Tustan08 is online with Madant79 - (This is Madant79 btw) He is 5 and is just beginning to understand servers and what they are. I wasn’t watching carefully enough when he broke the couple of block in the city. I had to explain to him that it was not like the maps I put on single player mode where he can do whatever he wants. It was very little damage, and he will be watched more carefully. We were looking for a positive, simple server to play together. If that is not the case, thank you for your honesty, and we will look elsewhere.

The problem here, is that you SHOULDN’T have to watch him. It is nobody’s responsibility to keep an eye on a member to make sure they do not grief. If someone comes on, and breaks a build, they aren’t just “unaware of the rules”, they are a THIEF.
And one more thing here: Ignorance of the law? Does NOT make you innocent if you break it. If I say I didn’t know murder was wrong, and kill a man, will I not be convicted anyways?
That was a bit harsh Zak. You make valid points, but a bit of tact would help.
Madant, While we at PCB would call ourselves a friendly server open to all, there are some warnings to those who join. That is, we allow swearing if it is not excessive nor directed at others for example. We expect a certain level of maturity from those who play. Now, it takes a lot of a bad personality for us to kick someone, but breaking a rule will be quick.
If you are saying this 5 year old can play nice, then I have no issue with you being here. I just don’t want issues with the other players (or staff).
You can however toggle the view-ability of curses by running the command /swearblock, however that may not stop all curses, and may also not hide incorrectly spelled curses as well.
I understand that. Sorry if I came off as brash, but I just try and make it known that we want people to fully understand our rules, so that these situations don’t come up where a player is banned for something they didn’t know is wrong. Honestly, for cases like this, I wish there was a way to force the new players to read the rules so this doesn’t happen again, but that’s a problem for another thread.
As for the banning, I’m all for second chances, as I’m sure the grief was insignificant, so let’s just wait for Kurry’s input on this one.
I don’t know if we can expect a 5 year old to fully understand or even read our rules. Having Mad supervise makes a lot of sense to me. If we understand the situation, I’m sure people can be a little more tolerant/patient with Tustan.
Just sayin, this seems legit so I am trusting what Mad said about Tustan. I would hate to find this to be a ruse to allow a troublesome player on.
