[size=18pt]As news of 1.7 release coming out, people broke out in full RIOT. They looted stores and set fire to their own homes. Volterra is not the FIRST TO FALL TO 1.7!!! The Cities capital has been OBLITERATED and the rest of the surrounding land is on fire. The land now has been occupied by pigs and horses!!!
It’s still around a month until Bukkit will support 1.7… people, you gots to calm down!
A month?! You have gots to be kidding me :o half the city is gone!
Yes. We will be running 1.6.2 for quite a while. With the new terrain generation and a whole heap of changes, I don’t expect a bug free version of bukkit for a long time. Have fun with your destroyed city
Donz worry everyone, a quick area rollback took care of everything.
You guys should’ve been there, it’s rolled back but it was funny and dramatic XD
-a big thanks to the person who said it’s coming Friday and the pods will probably open
-thanks to staff for rolling back the area, I really appreciate it!
-and I hope to look forward for the update!(especially you pie!)
My house was totally not affected by this. On the right at the back. ;D
Edit: it tuns OK it has-
This still has not been fixed, there were a lot of pigs and horses in my house (on the other side of a LOCKED door). All of the horses are dead/have gone from the stables and the WIP area underneath is filled with about 30. The sheer number of animals mean it must have been someone with access to spawn eggs. Thankfully all of kurry’s villagers made it.This is a serious mess
[size=36pt]ONCE AGAIN
If you do not hear news from a staff member its not true.
Isnt Ferrari a staff member? Lol
Lol, yes. I think what John means is not just from a staff member, but an official announcement on the front page too. Anything that is major like this will be a front page thing. Under the “Announcement” board.
Was the rollback due to griefers? If not you shouldnt have rolled them back. If they saved the items they destroyed from the city then they now of dubed items. Like if they destroyed a beacon or a diamond block that was in the ground then stuck it in a chest somewhere else when you rolled them back you created a duplicate of that item. Not saying they did or anything… Just be cautious.
Destroy beacon->Rollback Beacon->2 Beacons… if that makes sense.
I believe we can just rollback fire damage or similar. I know we can do that for creeper damage and explosions.
The roll back did dupe items, but i had Pie break the chests and put a fire under to burn the items, to be fair.
If you mean placed items…there were no valuable placed items, mainly wood and stone.
