So I’m starting to get into d&d and I want to make a tabletop campaign based off of the cities, map and lore of the 1.12 creative map. I’ve got some storyline and quest ideas, but if you all have ideas for a tabletop game campaign throw 'em at me (Note: it would be a fictional tabletop campaign, NOT in-game)
Some base material I’m thinking of:
After NVC’s decline many rival gangs formed in the city and eventually formed into a massive crime syndicate that overrun the ruins and began all sorts of illegal nefarious business (drugs, gun running, etc) and began to spread outward while becoming stronger and wealthier under the strong leadership and cunning of an unnamed villain. A group of adventurers respond to ads about a large bounty for the villain’s head in a town marketplace. They start playing and a sidequest-thing is that the nations of New Luctie and the Republic of Diuettium are at war, and depending on what town the game is started in (a neutral city-state), the surrounding closer nation is pressuring the city state to join their side. The party can do quests for military and politicians to influence whether the town joins the faction or not, and if so they can do raids on the other nation to get gold as mercs. The group travels through the map taking trails, railroads, boats, etc to reach nvc while fighting doing quests along the way and fighting their way through captured syndicate puppet cities and eventually challenge the villain in NVC itself, and a final boss battle takes place.
Sound interesting to you? Suggest ideas for things like questlines or NPCs to add to the campaign. Can relate to cities, players, landmarks, etc.
