I’m sorry to my friends who live outside of the U.S and Canada, but I will be talking about American Football below.
So far in this season, there are a lot of good teams, and a large amount of undefeated teams (as of 10/19/15), but two really stood out to me, and I predict that they’ll meet in February. These teams are…
The Green Bay Packers and The New England Patriots.
(I’ve been predicting this matchup for so many years)
I’m sorry, but I’m a bit biased here. I live in New England, so obviously I’m a patriots fan, But I also like the Packers. I’ve liked them since I first gained interest in football.
Anyway…
These teams really stood out to me, and they definitely look like Super Bowl 50 Contenders (that is, if they stay healthy.)
Both offenses have been on fire lately, and rack up many points each game. Rodgers vs. Brady. Best in the league vs. Best of all time… Good game on the offensive part.
Both defenses are less than perfect. Neither defense is great, but they’re mediocre, at least. The Patriots defense was projected to be one of the worst, after our loss on Revis, Browner and Co. Butler, the super bowl saver, has been very good for us so far. We are slouching in the corner position, but the rest seems alright. When the patriots (almost :l) went undefeated in 07’, we had an excellent offense, and mediocre defense. Is a repeat possible? The Packers defensive situation is very similar to the patriots.
I predict these two to clash in this year’s super bowl, and the final score being…
[Patriots] 27 - 21 [Packers]
I think that it will be tooth and nail, but with the game clock ticking in the fourth, The score is 21 - 20 (Packers) and I see the patriots have a clutch drive, almost intercepted once or twice, resulting in a touchdown to try to seal the score. Packers try to get down field quickly to score and win it, but game clock expires with them on the Patriots 47 yard line (out of field goal range).
Again, I’m sorry to my foreign friends who didn’t understand a word I rambled above. I’d feel the same way if you explained rugby to me xD
Does anyone else have predictions?
