Was thinking of abbreviating the ranks in the chat to the first letter of the word so it takes up less space and is more appealing to the eye. Ive seen many servers do this and I personally think its a small yet simplistic and clean change.
Example:
[guest] -----[G]
[Member] --[M]
[Donator] --[D]
[Mod] -------[M]
etc…
I get it. I like the idea, although when staff decide to colour their names (which I don’t think they should be able to in the first place, but that’s a separate discussion.) it could cause confusion between mod and member.
I do like the idea but for mod i would like to keep it “mod” and not just an “m” like a member.
Ninja is right. Keeping it under three letters is fine. SOP and ADMIN should stay full cause A and ADM look silly to me. Besides, there are only a few of them. Color coding would not be needed as much then.
[guest] --------------[G]
[Member] ----------[M]
[Donator] -----------[D]
[Mod] ---------------[Mod]
[Operator]----------[OP]
[Super Operator]-[SOP]
[Admin]-------------[Admin]
Basically, staff ranks are about the same.
There needs to be an Owner, Super Admin, or anything of the sort for Andy and Spec. The same for you on Classic.
Owner is admin. Admin is Admin no matter how long you have been Admin.
Yo dawg I heard you liked Admin so we put an Admin in yo Admin and then gave that Admin an Admin.
