It’s that time of year again when we all empty our back accounts for the glorious Gabe!!

Summer sale is on. If you find a good deal, share it here!

Here’s some tips for buying in the steam sale:

  1. Wait for a game to be in the Flash Sale, Community Choice or Daily Deal before buying. Even if the game is discounted anyway, when they get into one of these sales, the discount is even bigger.
    If the game you want doesn’t get into the FS, CC or DD, then buy it on the last day while the Summer Sale discount still applies.

  2. Update your wish list. When a game gets into the FS, CC or DD, if it is on your wish list, Steam will e-mail you about it.

  3. Craft game badges! When you first craft a badge or buy a game, you are assigned a team. If your team gets the most points in any day, there is a chance to get the top 3 games on your wish list for free! But only if you have contributed points, which you can get by crafting any game badges (collect a full set of trading cards to craft a badge).
    This is another reason to keep your wish list updated. Really want Watchdogs, Saints Row 4 and AC: Black Flag? Put them in the top 3 slots in your wish list.

  4. If you think games you buy might just sit in your library for a while, buy them as a gift. You still have them, but if you decide you’d rather not play it, you can trade your friends for games you do want.

  5. Vote for the CC sales as often as possible. Even if you don’t want any of the games, pick the ones with the heaviest discounts. Every 3 votes gets you a summer sale card. If you collect them all you can craft the badge and get more points for your team, and possibly win those games on your wish list.

With all that being said, The Witcher 2 and Payday 2 are currently 80% off, and Far Cry 3 is 75% off.

Is it worth getting skyrim if I haven’t played any of the Elder Scrolls games?

YES!, skyrim is awesome, ive only played oblivion and skyrim and they arnt hard to get into lore wise. Each game seems to assume you know nothing about anything and gives you all the details in specific to that game.

Also if you get skyrim, check out nexus mods. The things there are wonderfull and the mods for textures and added graphics are brilliant.

The Wolf Among Us was on sale a few days ago.

Very good game, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good story. Interesting setting, interesting characters, a gritty spin on children’s stories.

Anyway, it might come on sale again, who knows? Valve tend to repeat certain games. I’d also recommend any other game by Telltale, mainly being The Walking Dead.
