Alright so every time I disappear for days/weeks and come back, the suggestions are a complete mess.
Here’s the 2 things that don’t get done.
-
When someone suggests something that we just cannot do, it doesn’t get moved to Declined. When this happens, I would appreciate it if a SOP or Admin would do a couple things. Firstly, respond with a post saying that we cannot do that and explain to them why we cannot do that. Secondly, move the thread to Declined. Don’t create a redirection topic because that just clutters things up. Move it and create no additional threads.

Something is suggested and a discussion occurs among staff in it. And… nothing happens. The discussion just stops with no one adding input or anyone saying whether or not the suggestion was accepted or denied. This one is the biggest issue I see. The discussion feels half empty and it’s almost like people were excited for it at first but then lost interest and forgot about it. When you guys discuss a suggestion, think of it in the long term. Do we really need it? Will it make PCB better? If so, how? Don’t just accept suggestions that sound fun or cool. Remember, each suggestion requires work behind it before it can be fleshed out. Either through Andy, Spec, or someone that can do it themselves, if you agree for a suggestion to be implemented then consider it as though YOU have to do the work for it.
So anyone who wants to help improve the Suggestions Box, do your part! Don’t just let a discussion die out with no explanation. Move threads that are clearly accepted or denied.
One more thing, when a thread gets accepted make sure you add the suggestion to the To-do list.

That way we know for sure what needs to be added. I know the thread itself needs to be cleaned a bit but hopefully someone can get around to doing it, or I will end up doing it if no one else does.
