Shadow, it is not from any anime. Just a piece of art I found on deviantArt one day. Gotta love Nek’s though. I have not seen that fan art before. Quite cute.
I’m the same if I’m honest, but I’ve seen Death Note which was foookin’ good. Most of it doesn’t appeal to me if it’s all over the top with flying round exploding things and laser beams.
First, nobody was claiming it was something else. It is fan art for Yotsuba. Second, I can see how this is getting off topic…
To Liam and Ruby, clearly you two have found at least one Anime you liked. The thing is, there are all kinds of Genres in anime so there are lots of realistic shows. I just tend to like the Sci-fi type ones. You can do in anime what cannot be done in live action.
I know that’s a wall of text, but there are tons of anime that have no quirks and are just like “real TV shows”. I have not seen Baccano, Beck, or Initial D but they may suit your interests.
I know that Miyazaki is kinda a realm all his own to true Anime Fans, but Grave of the Fireflies is another realistic movie about two children trying to survive in Japan during World War II
