AngelSentinel:
I have a question, real quick, specifically directed at @AGx .
I know you’ve got YouTube coverage of the events done pretty much (and its a job very well done, I might add). However, you mentioned that you would only be recording the (semi-?)final matches because it would take you awhile to edit video.
I’ve also checked the info regarding broadcasting that’s been posted at the warp. I’m confused as to whether those positions are for recording or for live streaming (“broadcasting” generally implies that it is being produced live? At least I made that assumption), although I assumed it was for recording, since you mention capture quality and stuff.
So, I’m asking, if nobody has bothered calling dibs on it yet, would you mind if I end up live streaming the events on Twitch or elsewhere? I’ve got a Wirecast setup pretty much ready, although I must say that my upload speeds are quite dismal (can handle stable upload speed of ~1100 Kbps, about enough to handle 640p@60fps or 720p@24fps). Thus, if someone else with better speeds could manage to do so, I would not object to having them do it instead. I’m planning to whip up lower third graphics, title graphics, and all sorts of stuff - the kind of filler stuff that NBC plasters all over its feed every time they cover the Olympics. Wirecast also conveniently has features for scoreboards and stuff like that too.
After all, the event will be held around the middle of summer, so I should have plenty of time to stick around and stream.
Lastly, I’ve got an update for you regarding that brief idea I mentioned in-game earlier. Wirecast does accept remote feeds, so in theory, I could accept multiple camera angles from other players. However, the issue lies in the further deterioration of video quality as I must start downloading live footage from other players.
If the stuff on the board at the warp is actually for live streaming and not recording, then I guess I wouldn’t mind signing up to help as long as nobody minds my sucky video quality.
Well, for me at least I am uploading youtube videos onto the pcb channel but live streaming is always an option too if u wanna give it a go. yeah upload speed for me is really slow too!
