Rough sketch :3

This guy is something that kinda just popped into my head when i was thinking of a character for my rough draft book thingy. :stuck_out_tongue: He kinda has a bit of a story behind him, just to make him seem a little less, “strange”

My ipod takes pics that aren’t all that great, sooo here are some fuzzy images. :stuck_out_tongue: I have no idea why they turned out sideways, i took the pic straight up.

Alright, anybody remember that maze movie i was trying to get people involved on? If you do, do you remember how there was a monster in the maze? Well this is somewhat what i have imagined the monster as. If anybody either read the script or remember what it kinda said, then this may make a little more since when i explain the picture.

The father of the 6 children, he went missing for a long time. Most everybody expected him to be dead, however nobody really understood what he was doing and why he left. Well he left because he found a map, not unlike the one that the kids found, that is where he found the entrance to the maze. However he did not think that anybody would be there, he was wrong. When he made his way down to maze, he found out that he was trapped and kinda forced to enter a little game with these total strangers. Well, he ended up coming out of it the victor, his prize… It probably wasn’t something he would want. He was chossen as the perfect person to hold the spirit of the “Beast of Myth”, on the fact that he only was able to win if he kinda, well, killed everybody and survied the maze. :stuck_out_tongue: So the spirit over took his body and almost all of his will to fight. That is were the small white part around his eye comes into play. That is the last part of good willing to fight against the evil. So as time goes on, he gets weaker and weaker, now his last chance to save himself is to get some outside help. That is why his sons were hinted at to be in a new tournament.

Now the sons must fight the ultimate evil and its maze to save their father from truely disapearing. >:D

Edit:
One more thing, that stuff floating around him, that’s his dark ora and stuff like that. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think pencil sketches look better. If you add colour, you can lose something about it, lose detail. If you do it right though, it still looks good xD I would advise scanning it into a computer, printing it off again, then colouring one in, then you can change things about it, edit it on the computer, test which colours look good etc by changing the hue :smiley:

Yeah, least with a pencil sketch i can go back and fix most things that i mess up, unless i just REALLY draw hard on the paper, then that is hard to erase. It really sucks how most of the times when i use something to color my drawings, they tend to make me regret it really quickly. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think what works best is pencil sketch which you go over in pen when it’s perfect. Then you use photoshop or similar to colour it in. Sketchy lines and silid colour work really well somehow… See most anime as an example.
