To anyone interested,
As you all know, Forsyth has come a long way, both in its soaring population and sprawl, and leadership, realism, and community feel. But alas, it is time to start anew. There are many issues we need to discuss, and things that need to be sorted out but first, lets talk about the future.
As you know, my goal the whole time was to have the greatest city on the map that most people lived in… I achieved this goal… 50% at least. Bigcity whooped Forsyth’s ass in terms of realistic building and eye appeal and this is why I want to start fresh and give it another shot. I’ve come a long way in my building experience on the server, starting with the original Forsyth Peachtree Condominiums, to the sprawling and amazing interchange of I-85/I-20. I’ve learned alot and its time to apply these skills to my new project… Alone? No. This will for the first time be an attempt at an EPIC COMMUNITY EFFORT to build many realistic hi rises, buildings, houses, apartments, EVERYTHING a normal city has.
Now… For what I imagine it to be like.
Interstate 85 going straight through downtown, BUT instead of going straight the whole route of its course it will go diagonally and wind thru downtown much like this:
NOW THAT, would be awesome. And as you notice the freeway is sinked in the ground below downtown so BUILDINGS AND INTERSECTIONS ALONG WITH RAIL STATIONS not only are seen by the freeway but are ON TOP OF it at some parts making for MOAR COWBELL.
Of course, many people ask me questions along the lines of… “Fili, why did you make this so wide noone really uses it.”
Answer: “It’s not intended for use necessarily, but for realism, eye candy, and epic.”
But this time around its your choice.
CURRENT ISSUES:
City Name?
Choices: Forsyth, Atlanta, New Forsyth.
Layout?
Choices: VERY MUCH SPRAWL FROM THE CITY CENTER, Medium Sized City, Small Sized City.
Building Style?
Choices: Modern, Older City, Los Angeles/Houston Styled, Miami/Atlanta Styled.
Street Names?
Choices: Some named after Famous Events and People during the old Forsyth’s!, I make them up like I did before, Random Generator.
Realism?
Choices: Ultra Realistic (Rich Parts of the City, Apartments for Free for new players, Condominiums, normal urban homes, etc), Mid Realism (Downtown, Average Neighborhoods, Rich Areas), Low Realism (Any type of building can go in places they shouldn’t belong in a realistic city).
WorldEdit?
Choices: Yes if it means making the city epic, SOME editing, No editing is cutting corners and you don’t learn from it and is less impressive!
Building Rights?
Choices: For Everyone, Mayor and Trusted +, Just the Mayor.
Government Structure?
Choices: Yeah awesome (Mayor, City Adviser, Planner, Zoner, Architects, Etc!)!, Some (Mayor, Advisers), No just mayor is needed.
Public Transit?
Choices: ULTRA REALISM (Hi Speed Elevated Rail, Bus System on Street using minecarts)
NO.
Whew! That was crazy, now, I need to hear what you all think, this sounds like overdoing it but I really want to make an epic city that people will say “HOLY SHIT” when they join! Just answer each choice and say whatever you want below that! Lol thanks to everyone who has ever donated to my city and to anyone who has taken up residence in it, I recommend you evacuate immediately with all things in chests and personal belongings in your businesses/living areas.
