So im kinda obssesed with Texture Packs. i have a strong feeling that the texture pack that each of us uses strongly influences the way we will view our world while playing Minecraft.
I am going to try (again) to get a nice sized index of Texture Packs not only just to make, but so Players of this wonderful game can see what other people are like, and to make thier own worlds that much better.
When posting on this thread PLEASE Follow these simple rules:
Add texture pack name and a small description of it. (ie dark or light colors? does it drastically change the look? is it HD? etc)
2 add a picture of some of the blocks to see what they look like
add a link to the download page for said texture pack
I will also be adding Shaders and visual effects to this index
Welllll i got one that i use every once and a while. It is called Misa’s HD texture pack. It basically just adds a ton to how you view minecraft, it has a good bit of animations on the textures of normal objects. When i get around to getting the pics and downloads then i will put them up here.
everyone please add pictures and links to your texture packs. brodur with Optifine and Sonic you can show us what the water lava and portals all look like with it would be great
Dokucraft: The Saga Continues:
32x32 RPG style texture pack. Stays pretty close to the original, nothing which doesn’t make sense to the crafting recipies (eg, no metal looking trapdoors made of wood, different coloured glowstone (unless you choose to have so) etc.)

There are 3 main presets:
Dark - Darker more ‘evil’ looking.
Light - Quite RPG like, the most original like one.
High - Lots of gold and brightened colours, elven themed.
ok my turn to add a few. please note i will be double and possibly triple posting and idgaf on this thread. it looks better imo when they are all seperated.
Majora’s Craft:
Basically someone took nearly every texture from the old-school Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask games from N64 and implemented them into MC. it has a really Dark feel to it, and sometimes the Textures can be screwy with everyday MC play (ie Pumpkins are Sheikah Stones) but if you are looking to recreate the old Maps from OOT or MM, look no further than Majora’s Craft: http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/legend-of-zelda-majoras-craft/
Painterly Pack:
This is one of my personal favorites. It still has the ability to keep the original Charm of Minecraft, but at the same time it can make it feel like a different world entirely. Like Dokucraft it has a customiser for people who like to be in full control of how their world looks.
ill add a picture here of what mine looks like (IE i have Cherry Blossom Trees) but i wont show the full customization screen… it would be far to big.

Jolicraft:
This is a charming texture pack that also comes with its own Customizer. everything about Jolicraft is light and airy, and very cartooney looking. i would personally reccomend Jolicraft to most people to at least to try once: http://www.jolicraft.com/

Poke’craft- like i said its a Pokemon texture pack… if fact if you had this texture pack, along with the Pokemobs MOD you would literally be playing a MC version of 3D Pokemon…
Cool features of this Texture pack? Giratina is the Enderdragon, have a Skitty for a pet, and Electrode… well Electrode is a Pumpkin XD
