I’ve recently purchased the RPG game which takes place in an infinitely-spanning world of cubes, (much like Minecraft), known as Cubeworld. I was wondering if anybody else has purchased this game, what they think of it, and if anybody would be willing to, (even if occasionally), host a server? ~Thx~ ;D
Shadow is too much of a cheap bastard so i got it for free for now.
The game is a ton of fun, however, if you want to play it, you would need a PC that can play Minecraft with Shaders, or else it lags like hell. Atm being in Alpha, the towns need more organization, even if it is randomly generated, shops are hard as hell to find, and things are REALLY expensive.
With that being said the fighting is very intense. Im expecting to see more variation in weapons.
All in all, for an unfinished game its amazing, just you need a good Pc to play it
Do you really? I find it far more playable than minecraft on either one of my computers. Rendering can be a problem on my laptop but overall it’s much smoother.
As for hosting a server, I think we can eventually but right now there are some XP problems with doing that. It is also very very very very easy to edit your characters offline and have those items be on a server as well. You can also have a lower client version than the server and abuse old bugs. There are too many problems to make servers other than with friends viable imo.
I personally never had problems with things being too expensive. Quite the opposite actually. I have an excess of money.
This. There is no way I am gonna go broke unless I do something stupid, like re-allocating my skill points repeatedly for no apparent reason.
It is quite fun, though traveling between continents is a pain in the rear end.
I’d love to buy this game! However, I’m currently waiting for my credit card, and then to create a new paypal and such. (Had some trouble with the last due to me being under 18). However when I make commission off my next plugin, I will for sure buy this!
One thing for everyone that has not played the game yet, is that it suffers from early game hell. Your first level takes about 100 EXP, but there are very few things that you can safely attack (as in, most of the mobs will shred you into subatomic particles. Fear the squirrels), and the mobs that you CAN kill give about 1 EXP each.
On the other hand, you level up faster as you become stronger, which seems a bit counter-intuitive.
Also a bit on the classes you can choose from:
-Water mage>Fire Mage.
-The Ninja specialization of the Assassin class is broken. Its passive allows your next special attack to crit if you dodge enemy attacks. The broken part is that your normal attack will crit continuously, and the ninja star attack doesn’t remove the buff.
This. I loved the old ranger hangliding. That was baller.
Maybe its cause i got a free version, but on my laptop especially i lag so bad its unplayable. On mom’s desktop its bearable, but still pretty bad.
