Not That Far Away

Hey guys, just thought I’d catch everyone up to speed since I’ve disappeared this past month from the PCB scene. Apologies to anyone that misses me! This month specifically has given me the most weight on my shoulders compared to the past times I’ve been going to school. Like Liam, I’m also in my second year of university, but I’m not busy to the extent he talked about in his post. For me, I literally am in classes all day. If I’m not in class I’m working, and if i’m not working or in class then it’s either a) I’m making the most of my time with my friends or b) asleep.

I’ve been avoiding my computer so much though, most of my HW I have been doing has been done on in-school computers with applications and software I couldn’t afford for myself. Technology lately hasn’t been giving me the cheers I was accustomed to and I promise this is just a temporary phase just cause I’m going through a rough time this month. For those of you that don’t follow me on my networks, a few weeks ago I lost my grandfather and it really hit me hard. He was buried at the same grave as my biological mom who died when I was only 7, and was also buried on the same day that she passed. The sadness and stress that came along with this tragedy was tremendous and I missed a few days of classes that week which really put me behind. I’m still trying to catch up and it’s such a pain in the ass to keep up to date on present assignments with the burden of getting done the ones I wasn’t able to complete before.

For a second now I’d like to disregard the sad things and bring up some good things! I’m still doing acapella once a week and am so excited to keep with it! Halloween is an especially hectic and fun time of the year for me…cause well Salem Mass, yea lol! This weekend we’re gonna be street-performing in Downtown Salem and am so excited to get to do that while we have a bunch of tourists this month leading up to Halloween festivities. Once this month is over we’ll be doing open mic nights at a local pub in Downtown as well which is also super cool. Another cool thing lately is that me and a close friend recently got into radio on campus and now we have our own radio show! We do a mix of classic rock with pop music with modern rock influences. It runs Fridays 6-8 P.m. and the show is called PopRocks! (Get it/ pop / rock aaaaahhhhhh the cleverness). If you wanna listen for the curiosity check out wmwmsalem.com .

Yea that’s about it. I’m just starting to get back in my regular swing of things so odds are you guys are more likely to see me online Friday-Sunday later hours eastern time. Miss you all and hope anyone else going through a rough school year is pulling through.

I can relate to what your going through. I too just recently suffered from the loss of a family member. Remember, we are all here for you. <3 I know you can get through it!

Yea I saw @koalamama . I’m sorry that you had to watch your friend/family go through that kind of painful experience. I genuinely feel bad for anyone with a sickness that changes your lifestyle like it did for your friend Katie. Thoughts and prayers for you when I saw what happened on IG and hope you’re doing ok as well

Busy busy busy! Haha

I have some similar tech stuff at the moment, last Tuesday was horrendous. 7 hours of what was basically maths work using statistical tests etc in multiple programmeson computers…

Work plus problems with your personal life can make things incredibly difficult. I keep most of that stuff to myself but yeah, certain things aren’t so great lately, hah.

I’m sure you know this, but you have plenty of people here on PCB to talk to about stuff if needed. You have be added on a few social networks, so send me a message any time mate. I may not always be able to give the bestadvicr for situations I can’t relate to, but often venting can help out too.
