Hey I have an idea for a spawn and it would take some work.
Well here it is:
I was thinking we could have three spawns. Why you may ask? It is simple anyone with an ok computer lags at spawn. Well this is the idea: we have a spawn for low end computers, not that many blocks are changed so it lags less. The second spawn is a bit bigger with a little bit more design and more blocks are changed. Then the last spawn is for really good pc’s and it It would be the normal spawn ( the one we have right now). New players start off in a small box that has pressure plates with signs above them saying," low end, ok, high end computers" the people that pick low end sign go to the first spawn, the people that pick ok sign they go to the second spawn, and the people that pick high end sign got to the last spawn.
Me and Goofmobber were trying to find out why spawn lags at certain spots, our conclusion so far is, a lot of blocks were changed at that spot. We got to this conclusion because when my house was still being built it never lagged (fps wise) but when I finished with the roof, everything started to lag.
Thank You
God Bless
P.S. this idea isn’t used in any other server and it would be cool if we had a server that has a unique, attractive, and user friendly characteristic. I will be posting another post soon about idea’s needed to help server get a good rating(My opinion).
This isn’t a very good idea. Seeing as I have the worst computer and I get the exact same amount of lag every where else . And spawn is normally the least laggy place due to it being loaded almost constantly. The idea of three spawns is quite stupid in my opinion. I dont know how your managing to lag at spawn. Conclusion:This is not a good idea.
We don’t mean to discourage you vlad. Your idea was good if the lag was universal. I once had an area that was lagging me badly (on my last PC). I found out that the cause was the animations from the water I was looking at. There was a lot of falling water and my PC must not have liked it.
Things like torches and lighting likely have a similar effect on older hardware.
There are ways to reduce lag when playing Minecraft, and the size of the spawn barely impacts any possible lag.
Hate to be the blunt asshole here but if someone’s computer can’t even handle our spawn area, then they should think twice before playing on our server.
Like Kyle said, I’m sure you meant well but your idea just wouldn’t work and would be a wasted effort.
For some reason i seem to actually lag a little less in the servers. When i try single player out, i tend to hit major lag spikes. Idk what that’s about, but i kinda like it since i really only play on multip player.
Myth, that is not lag. That is your PC struggling. Lag is when your internet is slow or the server is. When it’s your own PC (single player), any lag is caused by the PC.
