Edit: It seems we may have to manually clear the usual maps and create new backups for them. I have the files, but they are reporting an invalid header. It’s about one gig of level backups overall. Saves me some space at least!
Job: Visit each regular lvl, create a backup 2 with “/save (map) 2”. Clear all of it, then do “/save (map name) 1”. If you want, use “/restore 2” to load the current one back in.
So far this has been quite stable. People are joining and all the commands I have tried have worked. The interface for the software itself is very similar to McForge too.
Yes, the database did not need to change at all. I just linked this software to it and wa-la! There is the issue of our backups being corrupted, but I’m pretty sure that was my fault. I deleted them thinking they were backups I had made. I used a file recovery program to get them back, but they need more tinkering to get right. If we need a specific backup, I can probably get it to work.
Kyle…Big issues i found out when i got on. Probuilders can use /zone and Builders can use /pcreatemap or something like that. Major…and there was something about /ban too i think. Please fix
To inform kyle and anyone else trying to get on within the next hour or so, I am going from map to map checking all the zones, portals and such, also once done im making the backups, so expect lag!
Not doing each map, just the main guest and builder ones, but i only really got around to doing the map restore for flagrass as well as the zones for guestcity =/, more to come tomorrow perhaps! XD
That looks awesome kyle =D, ill see if i can tinker with it on my end, does it need a ip to function? if so dont you have a dynamic ip?
We should discuss this in Steam. Contact me when you get the chance. I do have a static IP by the way. I told my router to reserve my specific IP even though everyone else uses dynamic.
Actually, this means my PC uses dynamic, but when I connect to this router, it is static.
