Money Ranking System

Well, I suggest this kind of new ranking system.

Money Ranking System is like being in an office w/ a boss (that’s us) that uses money as a source of ‘How Much Have You Done To The Server’. This means that we can keep track of anybody by giving them money(using /give) on what they have done.

This allows people to work hard for their works to get ‘paid’. Another advantage is that they can be ‘hired’ as co-workers that would work with the one who will be paying.

This basically means everyone will be given money and a JOB. The larger the money they have, the more they work hard for it, thus greater chance of them ranking.

I suggest the following ‘Jobs’ :

Co-Worker : Players hired by them will help the one who will paying on his/her project. Payment will be depending on how good the project is.

Surveillance : Ops hired by them will help to keep on ‘lookout’ for griefers, rule breakers, and etc. They will serve as sub-cops that will maintain the server. Payment will be depending on how long they will be surveillancers, or how many they caught.

Tour Guide : Ops hired by them will tour new guests on maps such as bigcity. They will be in charge of guiding the guests that this is a great server, and they should stay to become a member. Payment will be depending on how satisfied the guests will be.

So yea, this is like having a job in minecraft.

Ranking :

Well, after you have worked hard, you will receive great amounts of money that will ensure you to be ranked. So, you will ‘PAY’ the ops/sops to be ranked. I think this will be the basis of ranking.

Builder - 500 moneys

AdvBuilder - 2500 moneys

Ops - I believe that trusts goes here.

Sops - Same with here.

EDIT : Ok since the discussion, I made this simple one.

There would be no Jobs, we will just pay players on how good their creation is. So, if they say that check this out, you can check, give them money, and move on lol. That way, they wont bug you again. XD

I like this idea much better than the property idea. I am glad you removed the job idea because of how difficult it would be to maintain that. I would not find it fun either.

Two things we need to specify.
1 - How would the ops/sops know that a player has already been paid for their building? Couldn’t a user show off to us at different times to get paid twice?

2 - We need guidelines on how much should be paid out. For example, no matter how good of a structure they make, they should not get the 500 they need to make builder in one go. Perhaps a cap of 250 for guests and 500 for builders?

If this is implemented, please include shortcut commands for us! I feel this would be one of the more common commands.

It’d be much easier in my opinion if we set up some guidelines on becoming a builder.

Ranks should be given based upon 3 things.

  1. How well they can build.
  2. How long they’ve been coming to the server.
  3. How much we can trust them.

So I’m not entirely for this money system.

But that’s just my opinion.

To be honest, I’m more interested in how often they play on the server. If they play on the server regularly, I’m more inclined to promote them. As for building a nice building, if it’s exceptionally nice then I generally will promote them (unless it’s their first visit).

Hmm let’s see…

If we’re to make criteria’s for building, wouldn’t that be saying “Build these kinds of things and you’ll be a builder.”? It will remove the ‘FreeBuild’ in this server lol.

Maybe we can give someone money from 0 - 200 so that they would keep on building and building great stuff.

For active members, we can use /about on the player so that we know how much they’ve been active to the server. We can pay like 25 per 5-10 visits? It’s kinda harsh for our current condition of few ops and sops to track down all players in this server. So yea, it’s not a good idea lol.

Still the best way is NekTM’s. :smiley:
