The official Minecraft 1.8 is now available.

Our test server has been updated to the latest version whilst our current server will remain as 1.7.3 until a Bukkit RB is released. As soon as Bukkit is ready, we will be initiating our discussed world transfer plans so make sure you’ve placed your items at /warp module.

for some reason, when i join, im stuck in this really bad lag, like i cant chat, walk for 2 seconds, or do anything, so can someone try to help me here lol
EDIT: Nevermind, i deleted the server and readded it, now its fine! see you guys there

I have the same problem… but deleting and re-adding made no difference

I’ve got the same problem; An extreme, mind-numbing lag. I tried to delete and re-add the server, but it only lessened the lag slightly. I’ve got no idea how to fix this!

I suspect there’s thousands of XP orbs lying around from before (due to player deaths). A map reset might fix that

We should update it to the next version. The changelist said that XP orbs no longer cause lagging. But you may be lagging because the map is filled with corrputed chunks that make you lag horrible when you are in them.

Well glad to see 1.8 is (finally) out and hopefully we can get a bukkit release within the next few days, once it is stable ill check if the current version of my plugin should work, I would assume it should though considering it doesn’t use new features.

Well, there goes the far lands. They were removed in 1.8. The world will just end where they were.
