Minecraft 1.1 is out. http://mojang.com/2012/01/12/minecraft-1-1-update/

NB: Do not update Minecraft if you want to play on the servers. Or alternatively back up your .minecraft folder and then download 1.1 and back up that aswell.

Below is a list of some of the added features:

  • Bow Enchantments
  • Golden Apple recipe
  • New language translations.
  • Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes
  • Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds
  • Added spawn eggs to creative (the colors of the eggs even look like the mobs)
  • Added world type options (currently only super-flat and default)
  • Removed collision box from ladders
  • Sheep eat grass and regain their wool

Plus many bug fixes!

Here is something that might help somewhat for the people who didn’t back up. Maybe. Just drag and place into your bin folder.

Edit(Hard24get): Removed minecraft.jar, its illegal to post it myth.
