Major Project: Minecraft Movie

I decided while randomly googling things. That we should make a movie, Romeo and Juliet, in Minecraft. Full Shakespearian Script, Effects, done just like a real movie. This is just a rough idea, but I really want to go through with it. Being a Thespian myself, I want to hold auditions(yes I will be auditioning myself).
We will make it One act at a time, then post it Onto youtube once its completed. Something this major would probably even get mojangs attention :D.

I will be sure to make some skins when i have free time.

Are we going to do this as a server event or maybe something else? If it’s an event then i think making it in creative would be a good idea so we can get a set put up real quick.
If we need to do something else i think maybe there is a chance i could run a server for this event. Maybe. It really depends what the true owner says. I am only the tech person.

So we need to memorize the script stuff? I think i can do that, just need to read threw those plays a few more times. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well i would like to do video editing, but ti edit video you kinda need to edit the audio aswell, so i will apply for both,and the hand off my finished project to the musician if possible. Also i would like to do camera to have some role in production and not just post production. My editing software is Sony Vegas Movie Studio Premium. And i have fraps as my screen recorder (capped at 60 FPS), and a Radeon HD 4800 as my graphics card. I have a film/broadcast media course under my belt which i feel should be mentioned in this app.

added a pic. Also, there is no need to memorize, were just going to be doing scenes at certain times and such. its just like doing a movie. No need to memorize your lines XD

A minecraft romeo and Juliet movie? Sounds neat, but why not pick something comeditic? Minecraft is pretty hard to show off as serious.

Possibly, depends though. I agree with ymb, comedy would be better xD Perhaps make this comedic somehow? Like, random stuff happening in the background every now and then?
I would also like to help with organising things if I can, possibly some set work too :smiley:

Hmm… interesting… I can help out with recording/editing. Perhaps some After Effects stuff as well.

Dude, Im totally going for an acting part. Benvolio mabye? Or Romeo! Mabye even Friar Lawrence! Anyway I shall audition! EDIT: Oh, did I mention i can build pretty darn well?
