Reason for Ban: Griefing Minater247
Reason to be Unbanned: I’ll be honest, I was well out of order at the time, having a couple family issues ongoing. This is not an excuse; rather something I hope will put into context why I was in a bad frame of mind. However:
It was approx. 3am and I was on with Swig and Matt. I had been on all night due to not being able to sleep. Swig, Matt and I were larking around, and I did break two or three of Minater’s road blocks. Anything else I broke was the terrain where his road was going, where he was also breaking blocks.
We were messing around with boats on Minater’s roads, and Swig was spamming lingering potions, which I did subsequently ask him to stop, and he did. I’d let off some fireworks as well, and I wasn’t particularly monitoring chat, as there weren’t many people on. I gather that Swig dug a large hole next to Minater’s road, but I was not part of that. I believe he filled that in, but I did not break more than 2 or 3 blocks of Minater’s road, and replacing them straight after.
Minater DID ask us to stop with fireworks and potions, so I stopped letting them off and asked Swig to stop spamming the potions. However, I was then hit by a creative killing and all-effect potions from Minater, and I did go afk for a while.
On return I read up on chat and saw Minater asking us to leave his city so I left and urged Swig to leave it too. I did apologise to Minater myself, he said it was okay, but he did feel ignored after asking us to leave, as I hadn’t seen the message due to me being AFK.
Yes, I did act in an immature way for a time, with the fireworks. However I must enforce I did replace the max. 3 blocks I broke from his road.
I’m sorry. I’d like to be unbanned to continue my projects, and I’d fully understand retribution for my actions, but I hope my appeal had brought to light the events of the night. I realise that I should’ve known better, and I strive to improve behavior as a Mod in future.
I have never been banned before and I hope that anyone reading this knows me well enough to know I’d never grief with true malicious intent. It was a joke gone too far, and I didn’t see Minater telling us to leave his city, being afk for a time. This won’t happen again.
Sorry for abusing the trust, I can assure you this was a 1-off issue.
