May I ask why the Classic Server is down?

Because during the year or so after we 1st had the survival server, we only had about 2 consistent players, and since then we only very rarely had anyone online.
I think either kyle or fatso still has the files so if you wanted it back up for a bit you could ask them.
So is the Classic server just plain survival? ???
Before creative and survival modes, Minecraft was just creative. With the introduction of alpha survival Minecraft became Classic and Survival. We hosted a classic server full-time until about mid-beta, and intermittently since then. Wiki page

You can connect via browser, but obviously the client is the preferred (and more stable) way to use it.
Sacred and I are currently doing a “John get your ass on steam” dance so that we can get the Pixelmon server up and worked on again since i find myself with time to do it. That and the old pixelmon server i was admin on is completely dead finally so i can start gathering the old members of that server to bring over…
I use Discord time to time with friends from campus. Very useful program.
I do indeed have the files for Classic, but the last few times I tried to start it it refused.
Also, FTB is up again and Sly has started playing. I don’t know how well both can run at once, but pixelmon should be okay. Just need to allocate 8 gigs of ram to both. I just don’t know for sure how to do that.
At some point during FV1.2 all worlds were converted - I think it was due to the increase in the build height (128 -> 256) so you might have to load the world on 1.2 first.
