Las Vegas vs. San Francisco

Due to the close results of the prior poll, we will be having another vote for which city the Cucamonga Republic will be starting in 2016.

Please vote, and leave comments for the reasoning behind your vote.

Las Vegas is ugly, and San Fran is actually a nice city from what I’ve seen of it.

Voted SF

I think you’d be able to have more fun with SF than Las Vegas, Fili, as you’re a dedicated builder who can work well with landscapes like that. There seem to me so many more possibilities to work with for SF.

I vote Las Vegas. Though it would be a pain in the ass to make a lot of tall buildings and many of them consisting of just make-shift casinos and hotels I think it could come out really nicely. My only reason really for not voting San Francisco is because I’m kinda going for that vibe with my own city and Survival and I don’t want that piece of my work to feel like it’s being used elsewhere. No offense to the idea, I bet if it wins it could come out really nicely, but my vote’s sticking to Las Vegas because it proves to be a challenge worth going for. Just think about all the fancy lighting everywhere <3

I’m going for Sf bc sf> Lv

i voted for las vegas <3 if you need any help i’m here ;D ;D ;D

Voted San Fran, because
A) I like townhouses.
B) Trolleys
C) Steep roads will be fun
D) Bridges + Ocean + Real Beaches
E) Beautiful city all around; will look very nice if done right.

san fran. awesome subway systems

Yeah, I think because of this, SF would grow a lot faster because more people are keen to help you with buildings like townhouses rather than huge roads and casinos. I think it’s a lot more interesting of a landscape and it provides for more creativity.

San Fran, because I can imagine that one looking glorious in your building style.

SF because dem trolleys tho

San Fran, because it think it is a really pretty city and would look really nice.

I vote Las Vegas/Paradise over San Francisco because:
 1. Prince is building Lalazoopi (Sorry if this is misspelled.).
 2. Las Vegas/Paradise has the Stratosphere, the tallest tower west of the Mississippi.
 3. This city has a nightlife.
 4. This city has Interstate 15 connecting it to Los Angeles.
 5. Only towns that intersect I-15 is Victorville (Medium-sized city), Barstow (Small town which has I-15 intersect with I-40), Baker (Small town), and the mountain pass (I-15 crosses Sierra Nevada).

VIVA LAS VEGAS

mainly because i think buildings such as ceasers palace with omnia night club and excalibur would be a cool fun challenge

I would personally prefer Las Vegas over San Francisco.

While San Francisco is an undeniably good vibe, so is Las Vegas. Also, Las Vegas would be much easier to do, it’s closer to Los Angeles, has few desert towns in between, and is almost completely comprised of cookie cutter communities and capitalist styled builds.

San Francisco is awesome, though. The challenge would be the sloped city, the freeway(s) to San Francisco, might even do both. The freeways that connect SF to LA are the 101 and the 5. The 5 would be much easier because it’s an almost completely straight line that goes through the central valley which is newly drought caused deserts and farmlands…

The 101 would be a challenge; The 101 has many curves, cities in between, and much more varying geography compared to the area around the 5.

I would need much more help from Cucamonga Republic residents with SF than I would with LV.

be a dictator

Well I’m already a dic, so I need someone to train me to be a tator

I’m a dic, and very Irish, so I’m obviously a tator also.
let me know if you need lessons, I charge $50 an hour (not telling which business I’m talking about though, if you know what I mean)

Also, I want Las Vegas because I want to illegally splurge money, and then reenact the Beavis and Butthead Movie
