When I opened Minecraft on the 22nd of December, the splash screen read: “…!” I knew, of course, that it was completely randomised and had no influence on the events of that gaming session. I was, as always, mistaken. Above are the first eight words I said upon entering Project CityBuild on the morning of the 22nd. Rather fittingly, the last words I had said as a [Member] was “bai guise”. But at 8:32am, just before my bacon and egg toasted sandwich, I went into a cheering fit that lasted no less than a full minute. I had finally done it. And, as promised, as soon as I had discovered my name was written in that glorious shade of cyan, I abused the /nick command.

Throughout the course of the 22nd, during the ten or so hours of my playtime that day, I pretended to downplay the significance of that one word that followed Creative2 as much as possible – before exploding into celebration. Some people even took to the old habit of confusing me with @YoshioTanabe
<Big_City><[OP] @Anthjmon10 > Hello

However, the biggest and best response of the day came from none other than YoshioTanabe, who had been what could only be described as friendly competition from day one.

I have many people to thank for their support over the three months I have been on this server, and some strange and supposedly troublesome ones as well.
When I first joined Project CityBuild in September 2014, I was guided by [Trusted] @thejoshua79 , without whom I probably would have left the server, never looked back, and probably I would have become a moderately powerful factions player. Additionally, I have the server corruption and subsequent rollback of the 10th of September to thank, because it forced me to cut my losses (of the 4km of monorail and several boxy buildings) and move on to pastures anew. The first thing I tried to do was make yet another monorail, in Acra City this time (joyfully pronounced by me as: ah-crass-it-ee). However, I had not made it any farther than two stops when various signs posted around the monorail read: “YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BUILD HERE, ASK ACRA CITY STAFF BEFORE MAKING A PROJECT”. Disheartened, I moved on to build projects a little further from the two failed monorail projects – slowly but surely moving northeast. Here, I have to thank [Banned] dikkezak for his insistence that a small island off the western coast of a mainland that only barely came onto the good side of the world border just had to have a train system. It was there that I asked many players if they would donate their time and effort (and if they were going to help for long enough, their sanity) to this monorail system, and one of those players was (at the time) [Member] Buddy_Rich, who has since been promoted to Trusted. I gifted him an island to the south, because the trains would go by there anyway, and he promptly replied with (something along the lines of): “Why would I need an island? I already have Acra City.”
<[Member] YoshiBoy13> CAN I BUILD A MONORAIL IN ACRA CITY
<[Member] Buddy_Rich> YES
And then began the long reign of two more train lines to the already saturated Acra City. In addition to Line [A], Line (B), Line [C], the Loop Line, the Raymont Regional Line, the Empire Line, and the Verona Line (gasps for breath) there came the YoshiRail M1 and M2 lines. This work took me the rest of September, and firmly planted my status as allied to National Railways – as opposed to PCB Subways. I also created the Enigma Staircase created with “TrustedSlabs” – only obtainable by fervent usage of /i 43:8, deleted with some hasty World-Editing, due to its incredible lack of detail. (The secret is, of course, that they are two staircases – one is completely sealed off, the other has two entrances. The roof of one staircase is the floor of the other.) This spurred me on once again to new heights only reached due to the deletion of the heights below. I had moved on from a nondescript lime clay box to a slightly curious TrustedSlab box, and now I would head on, on the 4th of October, to a slightly less nondescript open-faced TrustedSlab box – with windows – sitting atop a stone hill. Thus began the Township of Silver Mountain.
Silver Mountain was, undoubtedly, a mistake. Unfortunately, I didn’t really see it that way at the time. Despite its buildings being smaller than your typical thimble, and the roads being thinner than a thread – and about as defiant of the laws of physics as most science fiction programs – I still protested that Silver Mountain was worthy of a warp, mostly by comparing it to Lignum. Never mind that Lignum’s buildings were magnitudes larger, and more detailed, gosh darn it, Silver Mountain had more of them! HazenPolsonetti and I had managed to make a town that fit all the guidelines of a creative warp – and still have it looking worse than generic doodles made out of boredom during a Latin lesson. However, I still have to thank [Member] @HazenPolonetti , because without him joining at just the right time on the 4th of October, and asking where he could build a new town, I probably would have stayed in Acra City. Despite how terrible it was, Silver Mountain was nonetheless important. Eventually, I abandoned the town, due to the fact that in order for all the buildings to count as detailed, I had to destroy almost all of theme, and moved on to greener pastures – literally. For this, I give my greatest thanks to [OP] @TheUKOctopus and also apologise for the distress I caused him while trying to argue the legitimacy of the town.
<[OP] ~octo> What I’m saying in chat is just a watered down version of what I’m yelling in teamspeak.
The flag of The Tyrannical Dictatorship of the Township of Delfino by the Evil Overlord YoshiBoy13 is a red vertical stripe to the left taking a third of the flag’s width, the remainder being split in half along the horizontal, blue on top representing the sky, and the green on the bottom representing the aforementioned greener pastures. The red stripe, of course, represents all that was horrid and wrong about Silver Mountain – a blight on the render distance of the town hall, but important to my story nonetheless. I started Delfino in November, and due to a sneaky little diplomatic and technical loophole in the rules (I gave myself permission to build directly next to Silver Mountain) managed to create the town hall an entire month after the town was started. Delfino had larger buildings, and ones with a new style of windows – no longer was I building simple boxes with roofs – I was now building complex boxes with ridiculously tall roofs. Delfino managed to get a warp on the 24th of November.
At the same time as this, two other things were happening that would have an impact on my time at PCB. The first one was due to [Member] @vors01 , a friend at school who I first introduced to the server sometime after the founding of Silver Mountain. He took one look at my town and promptly moved two hundred blocks west and built a medieval town, called Oakwell. I noted at the time that the well was made of cobblestone, and the entire town was built within a spruce forest. This was the beginning of the sudden mass of people at my school joining the server. In addition to vors01, I also have [Banned] @MasterPr371 , rather strangely, to thank. Without him, Octo would probably have still seen me as a nuisance with delusions of grandeur – however, he (hopefully) now sees me as a staff-respecting nuisance with delusions of grandeur.
The second thing happening was the rise of National Railways. I helped in not only introducing the M1 and M2 (and, with the advent of the Greenswood-Silver Mountain-Oakwell one, M3) YoshiRail lines to the world of Creative2, I also helped the digging phase in the western leg of the Loop line. This, as well as the similarity in our names (and of course, everyone confusing one with the other) caused a kind of friendly rivalry between me and (who else) [Trusted] YoshioTanabe. In fact, as soon as he got the trusted rank, I started covertly asking for advice if there was anything I could do to fasten my movement to trusted as well – apart from the always helpful “by being trustworthy” that has been offered many times in the past.
Over the course of December (or at least, the three weeks of it so far that had passed), I found myself juggling two projects – the progress of vors01’s latest project: Seaspear, which was in no way at all based off of Sunspear from Game of Thrones, and the expanding of Delfino. In addition, TheJosh also advised my getting TeamSpeak, for this reason:
[me -> [Trusted] ~TheJosh] why?
[[Trusted] ~TheJosh -> me] so the staff know you exist
And now the staff know I exist – to the point of my being elevated to YoshioTanabe’s level – hilarity is bound to ensue. All that promptly brings me to the present day, where I have just this to say:
[b]Thank you. Thank you all. I couldn’t have gotten this far without your support.

[Trusted] ~TheYoshi[/b]

@YoshioTanabe was saying I should make a thank-you post somewhere, hope I got it in the right place!
