Is it Time for a Community Ender Ender?

Earlier I was thinking about how the server doesn’t have a decent xp farm like the ender ender on the Mindcrack server, I think we should make one what do you guys think?

Once we make a new map I am making an ender xp farm. I am think people will have to pay me $50 to use it for 3 days, and they could pay $20 for 1 day or pay $2,000 and they get to use it for 1 month.
Tell me what you think?

The reason people have to pay for it is because it takes time to build and because it is very efficent.

The reason for a community farm is that everyone can use it for free… everyone uses it on Mindcrack

This seems like an interesting proposition. And a most useful one.

I might be interested in investing in/assisting to fund the expedition and construction process to make such a facility on the behalf of the Empire.
Could a contract be worked out for the Empire to pay a reduced population-based bulk monthly/weekly rate (perhaps a 25% per-person reduction or so) so that citizens of the Empire would be allowed to utilize such a facility? Details can be worked out later.

Note: If the facility is “free” (communist), the Empire may still be interested in assisting to fund the construction.

The problem with this is similar to the problem with standard mob farms. It enables players to get very overpowered very fast. Granted, not as easily as if they were using a standard mob farm however, plus this wouldn’t damage the economy.

I’ve also found its now very easy to get to high levels by doing just a bit of mining.

When the map is out spec said there will be dynamic economy so you cant really make much money from it, but making people overpowered well maybe but it would be good still

tbh, Goofmobber had set one up back when we were still making money from killing mobs, which was awesome, but it was WAY overpowered. about 30k in a few hours, just killing endermen… but Special said we were making to much money on it and killing the economy, so it was abolished and dismantled.

The only reason it became overpowered is because of the stupid plugins? why can’t we have a relatively vanilla server?

It is true, they were way to powerful back when you also got rewards for killing mobs. But now that we don’t have that plugin, it might be more fair. And if it’s a community project, it would be pretty fun to build together.

Now that we don’t get money from killing them, I don’t see why you can’t do this. I am okay with a public XP farm. I would rather it be free though. Perhaps we could make it a warp location.

But it takes time and resources to build this.(I am still building it but I am not sure if i will charge people for it.)

The plan is to use a dynamic economy plugin. That means you can buy and sell xp. So if people keep on farming and selling their XP, it will be priced ridiculously cheap. Well in theory at least, because I’m not sure how efficient the plugin is.

And all prices should eventually trend towards market prices due to supply and demand, with all prices set relative to each other. If you want to know why, google “arbitrage”.
