To everyone the IRC is back =D
Yeah, it was down for one major reason… It somehow stopped Classic from starting at all. It seems one of the last 2 updates to McForge must have fixed the bug they added. Turned it on today and it just worked. Andy has added it to the bar at the bottom now too. You can chat with classic from the site.

Ask Hard, he actually runs the thing. I just turned it on man! Seriously, today was the first time I used IRC. That was only because it was on the site now.
