I have a bit of a problem

Hello PCB (staff especially)

As some of you know, I am making an airplane/helicopter expo/museum with the intention of the players, when in need of an airplane for their city or airport, can get there and look at the planes and helicopters divided into categories for their use (giving the credit of the builder if copying the plane).

As some OP+ know, I require a bit of w/e to create new categories (because I haven’t finished building some areas for certain categories) and to expand in an eventual future when some category areas are full and need more slots for builders to build in.

I asked around 10 OP+ throughout the making of this project, and 7-8 didn’t flatten out because it is “against the rules” to encourage players to use the terrain generator (I totally Agree). I am not saying this rule is dumb or useless, I just would need some staff to maybe make an exception for these type of projects that have to be flat (like mine). So is it possible for staff to do this? seen that I cannot terra form my project like a city seen that it is full of airplanes.

I tried to pick a very flat biome, but it still has hills and I cannot do it by hand seen that the areas I need to flatten out are massive.

I’d say this is a fairly obvious case of ignoring that rule. It’s ok to flatten land for stuff like this.

Dan, you could also make several levels (like floors) once you run out of space. That’s how I used to do it.

It would look bad since my warp spawn is themed as a small terminal and all the paths are kinda made to be outside looking and I have some trees. Nice idea though.

The reason I don’t flatten land in particular isn’t just because it violates the WE rules. It’s more so that I don’t trust people to finish what they started, especially if the flattening is somewhat large. In practice (and while I don’t say you in particular will do it) i’d say about 90% of projects I have flattened or been asked to flattened are never finished / terraformed properly and they make the land look balls to the wall ugly. So I am extremely apprehensive about terraforming.

I feel you Wairoa, I am a huge fan of terra forming too, I even own a future city that is on a mountain, and it requires
0 w/e (deleting trees doesnt count :P), Although, I am sorry, but the project of the airplanes cannot be modified and I am trying to to tell it to all the OP-SOP’s that follow this rule of no flattening.
