How to update video card?

So for the next 2-3 weeks we are getting a new kitchen, and I will have to use the desktop computer a bit more (because I don’t really trust the stupid polish builders with all our stuff) and I downloaded minecraft but I cannot play. It says a message like this: Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

How can I resolve this?

Well to start off, you need to figure out what video card you have. Go to Start > Right-click Computer on the right > click Manage. On the left side go to Device Manager, and find Display Adapters in the list. Click the little white arrow on the left of it and post the name of your graphics card.

Its ok lol I’m not using the desktop its a piece of crap

It’s a simple matter of installing drivers for your computer, no matter how old it is. It’ll make a huge difference.

Ok so i have a computer (laptop) that i can’t get to run MC, i was wondering if my graphics cards are junk, or if my drivers are.

EDIT: Updated driver/card info

1.73 GHz 1.49 GB of RAM
^maybe that…

Yeah minecraft needs like 2gbs to run somewhat smooth
Might wanna get a new comp eh?

I think you may just need to update java. The ram and processor are not great, but it should run.

Results?

updated java to 7u2, still no dice. But, has whu’s issue been resolved? i don’t want to high jack his thread.

Or run dxdiag

Btw i run mc with 1.5 GB ram smooth although some texturepacks, cause minecraft to close due to out of memory issues but if i go with normal texturepack its fine
