My windows 7’s battery kind of broke a while ago. It can only go 1 min without charger. Windows warned me it would crash at any time and it did today, now I started it up again and it looks like a fucking windows xp!!
I tried : system properties> performance > adjust for best appearance but it didn’t work + it won’t let me list all the in range networks 
this has been the worst fucking day in my life.

you know you’re meant to unplug laptops from time to time right? then the battery life doesn’t completely die.

Even without a battery, can’t you just keep it plugged in? I know it’s an inconvenience, but it’s better than no computer at all, right?
Were you saying that the laptop won’t even start up now? It sounds like you have more wrong than just the battery. If it can get online, Sip or I can probably help via remote access. I want to see the waring you got.
Yeah, vaio try leaving it plugged in for a few hours then trying to turn it on.That might just do it.
When my battery was still fine it could only go 10 mins without :l
Did you often drain the battery? cause if you just leave the battery fully charged all the time then that really messes them up =/.
The windows xp look might be to do with the graphics card, make sure the color depth is 32 bit and not 16.
Also check your not using the theme ‘windows classic’
I fixed it, you might think I’m stupid for this but I smashed my fist against the screen a few times :S
If everything else fails, punch the damn thing. Problem solved
