now I got a hang of gimp alittle but how do i put my charachter in there? pls respond if you know anything ty.

Do you mean the skin for your minecraft miner?
If you are, load the PNG. to gimp and edit it. It should load it unless the file is protected or you told the computer to upload PNGs with a different program. Otherwise, it something is wrong.

If your just trying to find the PNG, it’s in the minecraft jar. file BUT… DO NOT EDIT THAT!!! If you want a pallet to work off of, take the link to the minecraft wiki. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Skin

Or a much easier method, where less stuff can go wrong:

Use that. You can save the character and its pose as an image, then put that in gimp.

You could try the sharpen filter.

I actually like your new sig bol =D.

If the pic of you is too big, then downsize the program you grab the pic from, dont full screen it =]

just one more thingy how do you make the fancy names? can I even do that on gimp 2 or i need a nother program?
