Today when I went to check my flash drive (a 4GB Maxwell), I discovered that all of my files were missing. The computer says there is nothing on the flash drive at all. The night before my friend had put some 3D models onto the flashdrive from Autodesk Maya 2012, however I have had 3D models on this before, I saw her save the file onto the drive, and have never had a problem until now. Whats going on? Can I get my files back? Please help!
try looking for a file recoveory program and scan your device for the files… im just hoping no one has formatted your flash drive D=
May seem a stupid suggestion, but worth mentioning. Is there a switch on the stick anywhere, to lock it?
How much free memory does the computer say the flash drive has?
Haven’t formatted the thing, no lock switch, and I’ll check.
Don’t Panic just yet!
I have used programs like “recover my files” on flash drives before. You should be able to get anything you had on it off. Just DON’T write anything new to it till you have your stuff off of it. You could end up writing over your data and then, it would be lost.
