WHO THE HECK CARES ABOUT GOOGLE! ITS KYLE’S BIRTHDAY! (hes the guy who is a admin on PCB and fixes all of our computer probs ) happy birthday kyle!
Thanks a lot guys! Another year closer to death as people have been posting lately. I really am happy to see this. It’s cool.
BTW one of the things I’m getting for my BD is a smart phone. Problem is, I don’t have a clue what I should get. Not too concerned with cost, and I know I want Android, not Apple. Suggestions?
I know a few people with the Samsung Galaxy S5, they say it’s great, and what I’ve seen myself certainly looks good.
Apart from that, I have no idea about Androids. My Dad had a HTC which was just awful.
HAPPEH BURFDAI!
u gettin old
o.o

Two words: Nexus 5. Or, if you have the money, the Nexus 6 will be coming out soon… give it a look. And, anyway, happy birthday!!
I have the OnePlus One, and I must say, it is quite nice. It’s biggest advantage is the cost. With an invite, the cost is $300 for a 16GB model and $350 for a 64 GB model. (In terms of specs, they are on par with this year’s flagships, LG G3, SGS 5, etc.) You can also buy them from resellers for $400-$500, still considerably lower than any other flagship on the market right now (remember, we’re talking unlocked here).
However, you say that cost is not a major issue. I particularly like that the OnePlus One ships with CyanogenMod 11S as the default ROM. In layman’s terms, it means that the device will probably receive software updates sooner. Android L has already been promised as arriving on the One at no later than three months after Google publicly releases the final version.
Also, rooting and unlocking bootloader do NOT void warranty (if you buy with invite)! So if you’re a haxxor, this device may be even more for you than Google’s own Nexus line.
EDIT: Also, happy birthday. ;D
