If Notch is ever gonna make a 1.3.1, I came up with a cool idea: MINE-MAIL! It’s basically an E-Mail system for Minecraft. You enter someone’s username and send them a message. Next time they login as that user, a (1) (or however many new Mine-Mails you have) next to a button that says ‘Mine-Mail’. I do realize that this would be a problem with Notch, so you would need a password to send a message to Notch.
Anyone like this idea?
The server has a message system already, and jeb is the one updating the game now
A) This isn’t for the server, yet all of Minecraft, that way you can contact banned users from your favorite server.
And B) I’m not really up-to-date with Mojang itself.

That would require millions of dollars to be spent either buying – or renting space for an email server.
I do not believe that they would do this.

I don’t see why they cant just run this through their current system. It would only need to be something linking their MC account to a new feature on their website. If all you can send is text, it would be fairly easy. But true, there is little point in doing so. A lot of effort to add a feature not likely to be used much.
