And thoughts or inputs? Will this all work well together or have a skimped on one aspect and overdone it with another? Or perhaps I forgot some cables?

Good to hear Fatso, sounds like you finally get a beast. The main suggestion I have is to get a solid state drive for the OS. Install most everything else on to the big drive. This will make the machine so much faster. Probably a 120 gig? I have a 60 and can manage.

Your going to need other programs like MS Office right? If you can get online, I can TeamView in and install a lot of what you probably need.

Seeing as I have a 460GT, your 760 is gonna rock. I usually cannibalize stuff too. No other cases you can salvage? (ATX size?)

Oooo I didnt think about an SSD, Thats a great idea! ill see what I can find!

Should be good for most programs, office isnt much of an issue as I dont use it, But I may take you up on your offer ;D

Unfortunately the case I have at the moment is a micro atx (HTPC) style case, no other cases hang around here =[

[Edit] Added a 120gb ssd, Is crucial ok or should I go with a samsung? Also thanks kyle!

use that website, it automatically flags up any parts that don’t work with each other, and finds the best prices. It also has an extensive list of components, and I have used this list to help inform some of my choices as to what parts to purchase due to ratings etc etc

anyways, nice looking PC

For anyone who wants An easier to view thingy

you’re missing a CPU cooler, and unless you want to be buying new processors every time you play a CPU intensive game, I’d suggest buying one. This is the one I use: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2
and then you’d also need a thermal paste to connect the CPU to the heat-sink of the CPU fan. You also appear to be missing a case. You may have added these to your post, but they’re not on the site xD

The case and the gpu are under the ‘custom’ bit at the end of the build, the site didnt have the parts I wanted for these two so i added them.

You recon i need an after market cooler? Does the one that comes with the i5 not work as good as need be? D:
I dont plan to overclock anything for a while due to the sheer base power of the parts, so the stock fan/thermal paste should be fine right?

ok, I wasn’t sure, because sometimes the CPU fans that come with it aren’t built for over-clocked processors which can get very hot, but it should otherwise be fine, and I didn’t see the custom bit at the bottom, sry

Most fans should work with the specs that you have but if it’s neccessary you can always get some other form of cooling such as liquid cooling.

Only problem with liquid cooling is that if you do it wrong…

Right what he said.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the fan as well. When I built my PC, the only issue I had was my heat. The stock fans are almost all crap from what I have seen. In my case, the computer would not even stay on 10 minutes until I got a different fan.

They are kinda cheap. Don’t forget the thermal paste!

If you want a custom built pc, go ahead,

But here are some Lenovo Do (From the UK) Website

Ok, added the cpu heatsink+fan combo that dor recommend (Thanks dor!)

Also added thermal paste and two extra fans (for front plate intake), Hopefully that will keep things cool! (Also getting close to the arbitrary £800 mark! XD)

Im drooling over the prospects of making this beast, BRING ON PAY DAY!!

Important question:

Will it have pwetty lights on it? If not, I disown you.

XD The case dosnt come with any, And personally Ive never really liked massively glowy cases.

I would however settle for some sort of ‘Case open = Light on’ system if theres an easy way to do so. That would be neat.

My brothers comp. has a glass/plastic window on the side where you can see a small array of computer parts and lights, its quite snazzy!

You need something laik dis or you’re not sweg enough

But… lights… seem too tacky… >.<

I would do this personally…

There are a few changes you could make, but overall I like this one. Moving up the budget a bit you can get an E3-1230V2 which is an i7 without the integrated graphics, but honestly you probably won’t be taking too much advantage of that. I chose each part for a reason, so I will answer any questions for sure. That RE3 drive is a steal btw.

Ummmmm also don’t need extra case fans, at least in this case, it has 3 already as I recall, which is PLENTY
