Fallout 76 Announced

Bethesda posted this trailer. It appears to be set in Vault 76 on “Reclamation Day”.

Vault 76 is a control vault designed to be opened 20 years after the bombs, and was in the Citadel database in 3.

Hope that Bethesda doesn’t screw up the sudden hype surrounding this by making it a multiplayer survival game.

Although it would be cool in the Fallout Universe, their expertise is clearly in single player roleplaying games. It could go either way if they step out of their comfort zone, more than likely for the worse from what I’ve seen commented on the teaser on multiple outlets.

It actually appears to not be a multiplayer survival game. The current theory is that it’s a singleplayer game with some multiplayer components, perhaps like Dark Souls or Watch Dogs. The guy from Kotaku that seems to know a lot about it has explicitly denied it’s an MMO or rust clone.

looks pretty fun, exciting!

wtf stopped following fallout for a while and they’ve already released fallouts 5-75?

Crazy, right? My favourite was Fallout 39: New Waldo, a crossover with Bethesda’s acclaimed 1991 title.

Oh and also Pete Hines (AKA Uncle Pete, bethesda marketing man) was asked if we knew everything going to be announced at E3 and he said “far from it”. He also said that this year’s E3 is probably going to be the longest and so far they’ve only announced a staggering 3 things, which suggests some big star could come out of left field.

Edit: A bethesda employee (vsions1 who is a senior character artist) confirmed it’s not rust-like
