Many players including myself have been complaining about the weather in Creative, I honestly see no reason why it should be enabled. I know there is /pweather clear but that is an inconvenience every time it starts raining (or snowing) Snow also covers everything… It makes road and ground detail pointless. I think a lot of people will agree that weather shouldn’t exist on the creative map. It would be amazing to just not have to deal with it anymore. Also can we talk about the SOUND IT MAKES? This isn’t that huge of a deal but it’s not very peaceful or relaxing to listen to, it would be a lot better in my opinion if it sounded like this http://www.rainymood.com/ It would be cool if mojang made the rain look prettier too… Anyways that’s all I have to say about this, leave your opinions below and we can have a discussion.
Agreed, not to mention that it could probably lag the server a little.
I support this
Rain and snow are annoying and never did creative players good.
Survival sure it adds to the experience but in creative its pointless.

I occasionally like having weather for aesthetic purposes. It would be great if it could be enabled with /pweather but by default be disabled.
Disable the weather mechanic in Creative. The sounds are okay, the snow is a pain to remove once it appears on the ground, and it’s pointless to have it. You could build barrier blocks on top of a location, but it would require a lot more work compared to placing blocks below concrete powder in order for it to stand. Now, if there’s a plugin to disable weather, I would likely be in favor of it depending on it’s compatibility.
I like weather, but that’s just me I guess
Also there is an option in sounds that is just weather, you can turn it off
Yes I know about the settings, the sound of the rain isn’t my main issue or why people are bothered by it though.
Yes, I agree, especially when you are trying to build and you need to type /ptime day and /pweather clear…
I disagree completely. We need to try keep it as most vanilla as possible. Weather is not being forced to anyone, what is the problem of loosing a few seconds disabling it by /pweather? If we disable it completely, no-one would be able to have it, so why not just keep it optional as it is rn?
I think when people decide to build in a biome that snows they kinda already should know that it’s going to snow? I know in the past, that there were players who used the weather feature to get snow in places that didn’t have it but ought to, so I feel like the best solution is use p weather and if you dont want snow cover have a staff put up a barrier umbrella or something
If adapting to the environment of minecraft is so hard, why do you play it?
It’s part of the game to adapt to what comes and work with it.
same with that special creative maps you guys wanted. atm almost everyone is still building a few layers higher than the ground and thus completely not using the new map design.
I think you guys should look into fixing things by yourself instead of asking the staff/server to fix any tiny little issue/ problem you have with the game.
cities in real life also have to be build to withstand the weather. If you want to make realistic buildings you need the weather.
I see the Creative map as a way to build the best looking cities without any inconveniences. If I wanted to build a city knowing that it would be challenging, I would play in Survival. But, in many cases, Minecraft isn’t entirely realistic. Snow only occurs in snow biomes and never occurs randomly in any other biomes, deserts and forests never have partial rain that scatter across the biomes, and the whole world is in the same time zone. You don’t need weather in Minecraft to build realistic buildings (unless your builds were based in a climate region that’s cold), it’s only there for the aesthetics.
If many players like to keep the effects of snow appearing on the ground when it snows, then the only way I could think of to resolve an issue like this is to place barrier blocks on top of your location. Also, it has to be noted that the current Creative map doesn’t have that many snow biomes to build in compared to the last map, so there wouldn’t be that much of a problem sticking with the status quo.
