David Bowie

R.I.P to one of the best… His music just put me in another place. Thats what I loved about him. His lyrics would take me elsewhere, for the duration of the song.

“Planet Earth is blue, and there’s nothing I can do…”

I’ve been listening to Space Oddity nonstop for hours. If anyone wants the link, its below.

I’ve been listening to Lazarus on repeat for ages now…

Look up here, I'm in Heaven.

I’ve been listening to “Lazarus” for a few minutes as well. It’s such a haunting song, it really gives the impression he knew he was going to die soon…

He obviously knew he didn’t have much time left… He died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at age 69. My top 3 favorite singers/lyricists are officially all deceased.

  1. Freddie Mercury
  2. David Bowie
  3. Kurt Cobain

Rest in peace, David Bowie. Your music will live on for years, even if you’re not going to be there to see it.

I’ve been listening to Under Pressure for like, hours
You Will Be Missed, Let The Rhythms Echo Throughout your soul, and guide you, rest in peace.

We’ve lost a true music icon. Most people are more unfamiliar with Bowie over some more popular artists, but in reality, Bowie has influenced music as much as Michael Jackson, the Beatles, or any other iconic band or individual such as that. We will miss you very much, David.

Some of my friends and I are gonna watch Labyrinth on Friday as tribute.

He was one of the few celebrities who were a person first, and famous second. If you went into a coffee shop in Brixton, you might see him. And he’d be there, doing people-who-go-to-a-coffee-shop stuff. He wouldn’t be surrounded by the paparazzi, he wouldn’t be fighting back crowds or having security guards in sunglasses and suits doing it for him. He’d just be there. Rest in peace.
