Yet another suggestion for Minecraft Classic : Custom Texture Packs.

The PCB server was empty so I browsed other servers which had a lot of players to see why its popular. I’ve checked one server, and had a WoM popup that the server uses a custom texture pack. I clicked ‘Yes’ and got surprised to see their custom texture pack.

That made me realize, why not have our own Custom Texture Pack?

Our custom texture pack could be city-theme. Blocks will probably look like its from a modern city.

This will make the server more on city-based than random stuff because we are called Project City Build right?

Anyway, some disadvantages of this would be :

  • Non-city-themed builds will look odd, mainly because it will use city-themed blocks.
  • Lag. Custom Texture Packs may be laggy, depending on the PC of the user.
  • WoM only : Custom Texture Packs is only supported by WoM.

Seems like a awesome idea!
As a WoM user I would love to have some different texture!

I agree. As seeing many classic servers with custom textures, this would be a great idea for PCB WoM users (such as me). Though blocks like gravel and sand would just need to be an advanced form of the block. Yet wools would need to work for my style of wool houses (go to the_hood and you’ll see what I mean) and pixel art.
