This is the situation not far from me at the moment. The entire city (I know it says 60 000 people, but with the workers and transients and college kids, it is closer to 80 000 people) have been evacuated. This is Mrs. madant’s home town, and we arestill trying to get in touch to make certain family and friends are ok. I know some friends have already lost their home…it is so sad.

Wow Madant I hope you and your family and friends are okay. I watched the Viedo and it looks purity ruff. Never seen flames like that before. I didn’t have a chance to read the hole artical but do they know what started the fire? Again hope you and everyone are okay and I am sorry for those of your friend who have lost there homes…agree it is sad =(

 Madant, I've seen the videos on the news, and I hope that you, and your family, will overcome this disaster. The flames seemed huge, and the amount of wilderness that surrounds Fort McMurray is abundant, but I know that this will be resolved, and that the town will be restored to it's former glory. Also, I researched the town to see what it's about, and I think that when I get older, I will visit the town.

Heard on our news today in England that the fire is spreading and further towns are being evacuated…
over 88,000 people have so far been evacuated and over 29 square miles burnt over 1,600 homes gone so far.
It is absolutely amazing that there have been no reports of deaths so far.
We are all keeping our fingers crossed the fire is very soon contained.

All our thoughts are with you guys out there for your safety.

i convinced our school’s principal and youth activism club to have a fundraiser and supplies drive so we can send them into ravaged communities,
