Cops and Robbers (OFFICIAL THREAD) (UNIQUE TO PCB ONLY!)

Cops And Robbers:

RULES

  • 1 ROBBER AT ONCE… More than 1 = Too complicated.

  • 2 Air Units. Air units can fly but cannot go in buildings/caves and cannot apprehend robber.

  • Air Unit Purpose - To update grounds on location and whereabouts. If they cannot see suspect they are to say “NO VISUAL” and if no visual is gained within 1 minute robber is lost and robber wins.

  • 5 Ground Units. Can run but cannot fly. Can go wherever robber goes.

-----TO CATCH ROBBER - A GROUND UNIT must get in front of him/her and look at them.

  • Shooting robber with arrow does not count as catch…

HOW TO START A GAME.

If you don’t have an SOP+ to nickname people ‘Air 1’ ‘Unit 76’ etc, its fine.

  1. Robber Picks a point to start chase
  2. All police/airs tp to him
  3. Robber says ready
  4. Air unit counts from 5 down to go
  5. Robber is allowed head start (RUN AT 1)
  6. RUN!

TO KEEP THE GAME GOING

  1. Whatever GROUND UNIT catches suspect, becomes robber!
  2. Air Units cannot catch, so people take turns between airs and grounds.

WANT TO PLAY LIKE A PRO?

  1. Everyone besides robber render distance low.
  2. Less Air Units!
  3. No destroying blocks as robber or cop.
  4. No building blocks as robber or cop.

HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE IT AS MUCH AS ME, SHADOW, OUHAI, KA, BRODUR, SEMI, and others did!!


NEW RULE: 1/22/12

  • You MUST have at least 3 players to play cops and robbers. That is, 1 robber, 1 ground unit, and 1 air unit!

NEW SUGGESTION: 1/23/12

  • Learn highway names and street names! Also location names and points of interest help too! If you are a ground unit and an air unit mentions a specific street and you are clueless and have to ask directions you are in trouble! Be prepared!

NEW RULE

  • Ground Units CANNOT tp to airs to catch up! You must run and get directions to the location!

This game sounds pretty cool. However in the pro mode a nickname doesn’t change the name tag. Other than that it seems like a pretty fun game.

That was so fun, I think my chase went on for about 10 minutes until they cornered me in an inescapable valley.

On the Creative Server

Tbh sounds like a fun game especially if you have unlimited sprint (creative) but even more pro on survival during night with only the food you have :>

We tried on survival but it does not allow for AIR units and nicknames. Darkness, I would agree is the best time to play in!

You could do a hardcore variation xD Like, Hunter and Prey? idk. But its basically what sip said. With killing.

It was very fun, and i believe there was only two people to escape the cops; me and ruby. feel free to edit if i’m wrong, i missed a round.

By the way, if you love the sound of the game or have played and love it. Keep up to date with new rules and regulations on this thread! And be sure to attend the event ka mentioned this weekend!

Right now I would say the game is in a beta stage :stuck_out_tongue: there are still some things that can be done to make it better and more exciting so stay updated to this thread!

I think morfing a player into a monster or something would be awesome. Since mobs don’t spawn on creative, you can see the player, and there will be no name tag above the player.

I think there should at least be 2 robbers… I mean… there are like 2-3 Air units and 5 ground squads?

2 robbers would only make sense if there were a lot of people who wanted to play. The idea to morph the robber into say, a creeper, would be really cool! I know I can mob disguise myself, but can I do it to others? We may need a rule change to do that.
