Ark says he didnt know how to save maps. so i told him but he gets on my nerves at some points. so i am wondering if an admin or senior op would train him into becoming a proper Operator.
i told him what my teachers say: “we aren’t gonna spoon feed you your whole life. You gotta get things done no matter how you do it. ask for help when you need it.” i already figured he knew about the /help command. he did but he left it at that. i told him to use /help mod and he said “I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A MOD PAGE!!!”
so to make an incredibly long story short, because if i put all my thoughts here it would take days, someone train him. or put him back at trainee
The trainee op commands are borked really, undo and shizzle dont work to good as you know, and a ‘teacher’ dosnt have to be a sop+, teach him what you know sword =D
A community where everyone teaches each other will thrive. I would much prefer him to ask how to save a map first rather then trying to do it himself and messing it up badly.
There are plenty of times when I do not know the more unused commands. I know how to use the /help line for most things though. It does take a bit of practice.
I still bug Fatso for things I don’t know, or forgot. It had been a long time since I was in classic. I even forgot how to use /about (or/b). The commands were so different from survival.
… XD I am still a kinda newb when it comes to classic op commands. Andy1075 seems to know more than i do, and he isn’t even op. XD I am always willing to help when i can, so it is nice to receive the same treatment when i need help.
After classic being my only minecraft for months before I got the full version, most of the commands are etched into my brain xD I should be able to help if people need it.
its not that i dont want to help ark but if no other op is on, im asked several questions, finding grief, banning, undoing, answering more questions, finding a job, ect. id love to help him but by the time im finished i have to get off. he helps a tad bit but it would be nice if i could get more help…im still new at op still.
Well, its not my fault, because i have NO direction in what i should be doing. Apprently I didnt get the memo. And i wasnt asking to be “spoonfed”, i just wanted to know the basics, and get on my own feet from there, but ive only gotten one lesson, and that was in banning, and you barely get on sword, so i do lots of grief patrols without you.
PLus kyle, as i said, i have NO guidelines, but i have read fatsos guide, so im getting better at reviews.
Anything else anyone wanna say to me about being op?
Sorry ark. I know you are right in that you did not get much direction as to what to do. A lot of us pick it up as we go and this forum helps us correct our actions. For example, I was wrong about who got titles.
Fatso only recently recreated that guide. We don’t blame you for not knowing something. It would be unfair of us to think badly of you for it.
ark im always on. wether it be im hiding or hours befor e you get on. You need to get on more. im out of school and actually have free time. you might want to hurry though because i am getting bored of the classic
