Reason for Ban There was no griefing to speak of. I was banned awhile back in October for “not knowing when to shut up” after I was trying to talk about a topic calmly in the chat the one staff member grew increasingly agitated at the idea of someone not worshipping him due to his position. I then tried to move the topic towards current news of that time and he then temp banned me for said reasons. The next morning after the 24 hours were up I checked PCB and I was permanently banned for “asshatery” this was before I could even get back on. The staff’a excuses for bans are getting weaker and appealing at how they feel so entitled with their virtual title in a virtual world, when I would try to talk cerebrally about topics that deserved attention they responded with “this is not America” referencing freedom of speech. I do not know why I would have to sign all my freedoms away just to play a game but the staff seem to see it that way. To put it bluntly they have the bigger stick, they do what they want without consequence because they can ban anyone and everyone that speaks out against them.

I normally do not ban for being annoying, but seeing as I did in this case, you must have been incredibly irritating, and making a mess of the chat for others as well.

As I was typing this, it’s come to mind. You were asked numerous times to just drop the subject(although I cannot remember what it was) by multiple members and staff as well. We all grew tired of your antics, and seeing as even other members celebrated your departure, I left the ban in place.

I was not “acting superior” in any way; You do have freedom of speech, yes. However, it only will take you so far, as when it starts bothering others, you’re well beyond your rights. Us staff reserve the right to ban you at any necessary moment, as we are the peace-keepers of the server. You disturbed the peace, so you were removed.

If you can properly acknowledge the fact that you could have stopped when asked, instead of being an ass, I will unban. But as it stands, you seem to not realize the wrongs in your actions.

I remember this incident as well. You were acting in an arrogant manner. This particular appeal shows that this arrogant behaviour will continue, as you are trying to demonstrate a superior level of intelligence through your succinct choice of words. It thoroughly demonstrates a level of arrogance and unwillingness to follow rules of an established community.

Like Zak, I tend to have a lot of patience with players and their actions, however, your antics may be proving me wrong.

Like Zak said, come with a little more humility, or find a different place to play the game. You are not entitled to play here, and we have nothing to prove to you.

Yes. You do have the right to free speech.
This means you have the right to not be arrested for saying things. Within reason.
This doesn’t mean we have to agree with you, or listen to you, or even host you while you spout what you spouted.
So I can’t guarantee you’ll be unbanned, but I will guarantee we won’t be coming over to your house with handcuffs.

As Zak and Madant have said, if you start owning up and explaining why you didn’t stop when you could have stopped, there’s a chance of unban.

Guess what, its a damn Minecraft server. You can say whatever the hell you want as long as you’re not offending others, but cross the line or in your case disturbing the peace and you’re crossing lines. I was not present for your ban, however I do remember you being active and this case doesn’t sound too different from a regular appearance of yours online. With that said it’s up to Zak (and maybe Mad since he was there) to unban, however I think if you’re really looking to make a comeback to PCB you need to own up that:

A) Somethings you said might have been or were out of proportion
+
B) That you’re sorry for disturbing the peace, and are willing to follow our rules without exercising beyond the limits.

Hey I’m here sorry it took me that long I’m on phone so I couldn’t find the login for awhile. The specific topic was delahk was called a homophobe for using word “fag” and I responded with “I doubt he fears them” inferring that if he was willing to use that terminology he isn’t afraid of homosexuals. The conversation rapidly escalated because they thought I was inferring he was homosexual which was not the case. And I kept it going because in don’t like treats as a way to stop a conversation, why I’m so annoying is because I don’t agree with the majority just for the sake of conversation. I find it fun to have a debate with someone while building, I don’t realize how my words are so easy to take in different meaning that would be offensive when it’s never my intention to offend my intention is to keep the chat interesting. The reason I got mad wasn’t the temp ban because that was reasonable, but a perm ban without me even getting back on and for being “obnoxious” it was a misunderstanding and that escalated the conversation I want to just build and keep my city going something a lot of people dot want I promise to keep my head down in the chats.

Honestly, a real shitty reason to disrupt chat. I however, feel like being kind. Don’t do this anymore, and find a better way of entertaining yourself in chat without bothering others.

I’ll unban next time I can, or if someone else could do it for me, it’d be great. About to head to my next class.
